The crabs are enjoying the posh new digs. Now they'll be asking for lobster and caviar.

@@Danny-MOG You're most welcome 😊 I still need to get a black light to really get the best effect from them! They look even better!

Yeah I don’t think these ones glow in black light, Christopher didn’t mention anything about that 🤔 I’ll try them anyway if I have a blacklight at any point 🤭

I just subscribed... Sweetest lady aquascaper out there. Amazingly talented and the channel is informative. By the way, your voice is calming. So I watch the video first, play it back while trying to sleep. 😉

Most of my vivariums are decaying buildings being eaten by nature themed (using Styrofoam+drylok+acrylic, very uh amateur vibes), build what makes you happy! Those cribs are super cute! Are you crabs different types? One is red, other is purple ? Ferret wonderland posted a video with multiple types of vampire crabs, got a a few negative comments and they posted a screenshot to their community section (they're probably not used to negative comments, and may have been language/cultural differences contributing to that post). One of the comments was from indoor ecosystem about not changing different types of vampire crabs. So googled that issue (cohabing different types of vampire crabs), and actually stumbled on indoor ecosystem comment on Reddit explaining the risks of cohabing different types (despite not searching for his name). It was very informative. I don't have vampire crabs, so not relevant to me tho 😅 I've heard they can be a hard to keep alice in capacity, good luck!

Hi, yes those are different types of crabs, I’ve explained how big of a mess up on my part that was in my previous videos on them.. not sure how much I talked about it in this one tho, people complain I repeat things sometimes and it’s hard to find the balance 😂 but uhm yeah, not the brightest idea to mix them, I know better now, but I’ve been lucky not to have any casualties or visible altercations, they’ve been pretty peaceful so far :) no females though, maybe that matters too 🤔

@@Danny-MOG Aaah! I had taken a break for vivarium/plant content for a bit, and only just gotten back to recently and first time viewing this channel (I watched quite a few of your main channel videos when I was watching more plant content like a year ago, not sure if you had this channel whenever I last watched). Betting it's hard to balance explaining things in each video for new viewers and not boring repeat viewers! Good luck, hopefully they remain peaceful! Tho, I'm generally of the that risk is an inherit part of pet keeping, and there being risks doesn't negate doing something, it need to be weighed with benefits. Having interactions with other animals can be risky but may useful for overall welfare despite the risk. I think a lot of (older?) views on animal keeping are based a on a fairly simplified view of what is needed for overall welfare that may be inaccurate. Like, we look down at fighting for obvious reasons as humans, but some level of conflict/fighting/spicy moments are important for growth and overall well being/making life interesting, and appreciating the good moments. So, like if some level of fight is natural to animal, engaging in some level of that might be better for their well being then not. But, they should also not be continuously stressed and should generally be able to enjoy their life-- a balancing act.

Aww thank you 🤭 actually I did not use the studio lights, it’s just the ambient light in the room. It makes things look darker but more natural perhaps 🤔 or I’m just having a good face day 😂
