Man, this is such a pleasure to watch, maybe it's just the character but I feel like your playstyle is especially beautiful. Very coordinated and cinematic, without chaotic movements and abuse of microducks. I think this is how the real Fujin would fight.
@shenles3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the high praise! I dunno about no wasted movements... I do play pretty crackheaded, but I agree that airslam fujin is much cooler and true to the character. Unfortunately the current competitive meta for fujin doing b11 staggers until they can hitconfirm into the same 30% opti got really boring for me. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for commenting!

Fujin's restand string (I think it's 43?) seems good to me at least to use every now and then to do like a reset shimmy but I never see Fujin players use it like that 🤔
@TheDeividEver3 жыл бұрын
Fujin players with the Needle thing instead of the armor breaker do it all the time lol
@blazaybla223 жыл бұрын
@@TheDeividEver Yeah I’m saying like in that example sometimes do that but just don’t do the needle and be right in their face and get a free d1 or whatever. Or if using wind kicks just do the 42 or whatever and have better oki when you do knock down cuz they don’t know what to expect. But then again idk how plus you are if you end a combo with just the part of the string that restands
@shenles3 жыл бұрын
Its because 42 only restands at +4, and it still spaces the opponent out midscreen. Corner you can do it, but both needle and xbow ender will leave them standing at +8 or more plus the extra dmg.
@blazaybla223 жыл бұрын
@@shenles Ah but aren't they way closer if you end without the needle? I probably should've labbed this before making this comment lmao
@shenles3 жыл бұрын
I dont recall it leaving opponents much closer (it probably does mind you, but it doesnt leave them in say d1 range) Corner doesnt matter obviously. It could certain work still if you mix it in occasionally as your opp is probably expecting the xbow or drill, but again +4 as opposed to +8 is a pretty big difference, not to mention the lost damage.

I use airslam (which replaces tornado), divine wind and deadly winds. I have a good to-the-point guide for airslam on my channel (used to be the variation called cyclone). I would start there. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. It takes some getting used to but is still easier than tornado.

@@shenles Yo I still have problems with the air slam timing Would you recommend dashing two times like here or just walking like in your 101 guide? Kinda confused rn
@shenles3 жыл бұрын
Honestly its up to you. I did walk only for the 101 guide to show its not necessary to dash. Its ultimately a timing thing and i don't use any special tricks. If you rly don't want to drop just settle for walking forward and doing f3 kicks
@Khan-_-Art1st3 жыл бұрын
Hey why do you do j2 f3 db4 even if they don't have meter after db2ex? I know this might be good for breakaway prediction but you still did it when they didn't have bar. Is that optimal or just easy? Cause I know back when I used to play V3 I would do stuff like maybe another 42 on their way down after a j1 or j2 or j3 b21+3 or b2 db4
@shenles3 жыл бұрын
this is a good question, and just to make sure I'm not just talking outta my ass I hopped into the lab to double check my numbers. the tldr is 1. consistency/ease of execution 2. focusing on corner carry so you can get the bigger dmg corner combos 3. this variation having the worst restand game alright the numbers: j2 42 amp slam j2 f3 kicks does 314. it's easy to do, and you can replace kicks ender with windpush kb or fatal blow without issue. you can theoretically do j3 dash f3 kicks for 321. that's 6 more damage (6, not 6%, just SIX) but it's quite a bit of extra work for basically neglibile dmg difference. doing 42 after an amp airslam is inconsistent af. that alone will make me not want to do it. midscreen you can do dash up 42 for 239. dash up 42 xbow (assuming you dont have push) for 268. in corner you can do j2 42 for 274. j2 42 xbow 298. worth mentioning that in corner you can do a reg air slam into amp airslam for bigger dmg, but that gravity scaling makes it even harder to actually end with 42. and then finally, since restands ARE GOOD, and serve a purpose, the biggest issue is if youre running airslam you benefit the least from using restand enders. see nado fujin can hitconfirm a bnb off b11212 (which is a mid), but airslam fujin only gets its bnb off j3, or 42 (or an anti air etc.). So after your restand there is no big combo starting button for you to safely frame trap into. Yeah you can b11212 confirm into kicks (yaaay) or you can poke, or dash up throw, or maybe see if your opponent will mash/jump etc but the restand doesnt set you up for your main bnbs. anyways, so thats the jist of my reasoning. its not terrible, and y'all should do what works for you, but for me personally the issues with landing 42 after amp airslam is enough for me to basically never go for it. oh and since you mentioned them. j3 f2 1+3 and j2 b2 kicks both do less dmg than j2 f3 kicks. lemme know if you have more questions!

And in skilled hands she becomes a really annoying pressure character who is always safe on block and forces you to guess on how to take your turn back.
