I got mine pierced about 24 hours ago! I have to agree with most of what you say - I could still talk, eat and drink (with a straw) without any discomfort. The actual piercing for me was really easy, it wasn't painless but it didn't hurt that much either, I could compare it to a pinch in my lip at the worst haha. Patrick Stoever couple things that may come in handy, tell the piercer if you need to have it flipped at any point in time. Stay away from can tops, if you wear tank tops with lace on the top beware of that. You kinda forget it's there by several days in. Forget blowing your nose for a long while too so get this done during a time where your sinuses aren't as severe. Good luck guys 💕

Good luck! I've had my septum pierced maybe a month ago and it was totally worth it. The actually pierce/needle made me tear up a little but it didn't really hurt. Beware of the healing process for the first week, however the second and afterward will be much better and will be totally worth it :) Also when you first get it pierced and you need to flip it up/down ask your piercing and be sure to try it on your own (I couldn't flip the septum back down for the first two days haha) Good luck!

It is so interesting to hear someone elses point of view, I have my Vertical labret done as well and I would rate mine a 10/10 haha. Mine was incredibly painful, did not swell at all and has healed fine.

Just for anyone watching, when you have any piercing that's new, any makeup getting in or around the piercing is not hygienic. Just think about all the germs that can be on lipstick or a makeup sponge, so everyone be careful and keep your cute piercings clean and happy 😄

Anna Grey the longer curved barbells tend to shift to the side. she's probably going to switch it for a shorter one once the piercing heals :) the hole itself is not off center.

I just got two vertical labret piercings done yesterday and it really wasn't bad..I can't wait to change them for shorter ones!! For me there also was no burning or stinging or anything at all..it's just the second day for me though

I had my vertical medusa done about a month ago, it hurt sooooo bad though and I had my conch done before which I didn't feel at all (along with lobe piercings and stretching). It didn't swell up or anything though, just a bit of bruising. Also the piercing suits you, it looks very nice!

Mei hi^^ on the part where you were talking about lip products, the reason why your lips could be in bad conditions if you don't moisturize could be because you overdo it. Sometimes if you use chapstick or something similar too often, your lips will just get used to it and they will be looking for that moisture right after its gone so you have to constantly reapply. If you don't use it the result will be your lips getting very dry. You probably should apply a chapstick or some other kind of moisturizer once in the beginning of the day and from there go on.

I just got mine done 5 days ago. First 4 days, absolutely no problems. Today, my whole bottom lip is blown up like a BALLOON and it’s super hard to the touch. No redness though, and no discharge… I don’t think it’s infected or anything but I’ve never gotten piercings that have reacted like this before :(

I got my bottom lip piercied like 5 months ago and the pain was nothing compared to healing part. I had to take it off like 3 months of hell. It was sooo hard to eat especially when the piercer switched the bar of the piercing with a tall bar. It kept hitting my teeth when i was eating and I wasn't able to open my mouth wide. My doctor told me to take it off and i did and i am soooo comfortable now. I think my body responded bad to the piercing. And there's a little puffiness still but it's much better now. It's your decision but just dont do it before you are completely take the risks

Got my piercing done 3 hours ago. Pain was 4 or 5. Honestly, my septum hurt more. It was fairly easy and the pain went away almost immediately after he put the jewelry in. No swelling yet. Hopefully it just doesn’t swell at all. My tongue never swelled when I got it pierced so fingers crossed.

I remember that when I got my lip pierced (snake bites) all the people around me warned me that it will hurt a lot and my lip will be swollen and super sensitive and.... none of that happened :D It was the least painful piercing I've ever had done and it healed super fast, no complications at all. And then I got my nose pierced (septum) and it was a hell on earth, I was literally crying from pain and had to remove the piercing few weeks later because sneezing was like someone was setting my nose on fire :D

I got mine done a few days ago. The pain wasn't bad, but I didn't think about the fact that it's a curved piercing and they literally have to change the direction in when they've pierced through half your lip... was such a weird feeling!

I have a few piercings and the worst pain wise where the nipple piercings. At least the actual piercing the nipple part was extremely painful but they healed really fast. It felt like someone would hold a lighter to my nipples, it was bad. I did hold an ice pack to my nipples, that helped a lot.

when I got the Medusa Piercing…. It was way more painful than the Ear Lobes, Helix, Nostril & Navel Piercing… so the medusa lip piercing the pain scale for me was 10-10. Even when I used the numbing cream. I could still feel the needle penetrating the skin tissue. As so as my lip was pierced- my top lip was completely swollen. Yes it was extremely painful & swollen. 🥰But I had fallen in love the Medusa piercing🥰. It was all worth it.

My smiley was the same way. I read and heard everywhere oh yeah it takes forever to heal, it gets infected easy, hurts a lot, etc. Mine just about completely healed in under 2 weeks and stopped hurting after like the first day.
