Doesn't sound like big band jazz at all, but it's fire, so who cares

It's big band-ish, with a major *ish*, but it sounds so good especially with the lowpass and the chimes.

Sounds cool. You gave half of whats requested. Big band is all about horns, most of the time. Wailing trumpet solo, trombones, bari sax, less movement in the bass. Still a banger tho.

I feel like it was more of a hogwarts christmas band kinda vibe
@imagitu640911 ай бұрын
this is really good, it doesnt exactly sound like big band jazz but I think thats because the recording technique to big band jazz is to mic down a band...a big band lol.... So all the mics and cabling probably color the sound.... but What you did is cool as shit
@P0RTA111 ай бұрын
I wonder if it would sound better if he put a medium to large sized room reverb on the master and upped the distance a lil bit, been thinking of trying that but havent got to it, prolly would add to that acoustic feel
@imanolcanteromartinezdelac198111 ай бұрын
And because he uses sounds that don’t sound jazz. Thats not bad bat more sounds you use out of the tipical jazz instrumentation less jazzy will sound. But that is not bad if you are searching for a different style.

@@imanolcanteromartinezdelac1981 Especially that Sahara girl vibe, it really didn't fit at all. The ocean feel was insane, but it wasn't at all big-band jazz.

10:43 This is absolutely amazing, I love the mysteriously mythical sound of that piece, reminds me of the part in Poltergeist in Geometry Dash. The only thing I don't like are the vocals, I don't think they really fit well, and they sound like they belong in a more Sahara type of song rather than the masterful ocean vibe you got going.

It's good but closer to just normal jazz. Big band jazz is closer to the kind of stuff that you would hear in old cartoons. If you've ever been into fandom music, think Bendy and the Ink Machine songs. But this sounds good. Would make a great hip hop sample.
