I've been thinking about this lately, even though I'm graduating next year and already have an internship lined up (fingers crossed it doesn't get rescinded), I'd deadass save most of the money I make from my internship and see how the market is for next year, if it gets worse and I can't land a single job, I'm fully content with getting a bunch of ppl, live in some tiny as apartment, and vlog my experience building a startup. It sounds fun and I'm still young so fuck it yk. I watched the later part of the stream when u talked with Tren, Nick, and Kevin. I don't agree with the whole 'tier' thing y'all kept throwing out but I do agree with what Nick kept saying, it's that u have a safety net rn (KZbin), so have fun with the boys for a year. U will 100% get views while building ur startup so financially ull be fine, and ull have a fuck ton of fun doing it. This is just me tho

I think regardless of whether or not you do content, definitely do startup. I feel like you need a break from job applications and you kind of need to flex your actual creativity/SWE muscles for a while - you can always apply for normal jobs later down the line if you really want and there'll always be a company that wants the top intern ar Meta. Taking a break from applications will also give you a fresh perspective and prevent burnout which is ultimately more important. Regardless of the outcome, I'm sure it will work out so don't stress out boss.

Safer option would be to work in a startup. You could use the free time of the day to do leetcode and apply to high tier jobs. If you can crack it, leave the startup.

man tbh i wish the best for you pan, if it was me i would look at my family situation as in my culture u stay with ur parents adn take care of them so i would choose a basic company to work at for a while for my resume with yt on the side and if u have time then startup. Most average companies still pay good money since u had a top tier meata internship u should be good. U can still make vids at work and work on startup on free time. The 2nd best in my opinion rly is to just hop around startups for a while to get as much experience on ur resume, then apply to a high tier job, if u dont get it then just save a bunch of money from all those startups u worked at and go full time with ur own startup and yt channel. This is what i would do but again u have a pretty popular yt channel so u can take risks cuz most of us dont get dms on discord with reccomandations from thousands. U have a huge safety net kind of like life wanting u to take a risk. If ur bored and u rly dont have any family issues then i would have some fun with a startup and yt and u can LC in the back. Honestly just find a safe job and do content / startup on the side. It'll be hard work but it's less risky than only startup / YT, then you can switch over to a job with more prestige in a few months

I seriously don't understand why take a safer low tier company got last. You can still live comfortably at a lower tier company, a lot of them still pay 100k, then just build up when the market is better.

I would recommend you to carefully pick a promising and interesting startup and fight for a good stock option package. You are young and capable, google and meta etc should not be your top choice to spend your youth on. A friend of mine started to jump between startups in the bay area every 2-3 years after colledge. After 10 years, one of the startup called Netflx and went to public, and he had 60000 stocks for working for 2 years, now it is worthy more than 20 million USDs. Another of my friend got even luckier. He joined a startup after finishing master degree and after working 6 months, the startup was acquired by Facebook for 29 billion USDs. He was awarded 40 million dolllors for working only 6 months at whatsapp as part of the retention package. Dont be frustrated for not being a bee worker in a mega coporation. You are young, be hugery, be brave.
