In honor of International Sailor Moon Day 2023 (August 6th), I thought it would be a fun trip down memory lane to give you a tour of some of my vintage 90s Sailor Moon merch! I hope this is as fun for you as it was for me reminiscing.

I love seeing old Sailor moon stuff its so cool . I was not able to get anything in the 1990s because I was just born then . But I did get some stuff later on . My favorite Scout is Sailor Jupiter and Mars is my 2nd favorite .

Jupiter was my favourite...until Haruka dropped-kicked-me-Jesus to Uranus and back when she arrived in season 3. And then there was no turning back, lol. I think it was the fact that she was a tomboy and was so physically powerful. That and she took no shite from anyone. And that motorcycle. And that sword. Just so much awesome badassery. It wasn't until the early 2000s that I started running into some SM Japanese merch, but not a lot. I live in Canada and there just isn't a whole lot of SM anything here. Thanks for sharing your collection with us! ETA: I think my fave items in your collection are the cards - both playing cards and collectibles. I'm looking at rebuilding my collection - had to sell years ago. :(

Your collection reminds me so much of my own collection. It was so hard to find sailor moon merch in a small town in Canada in the 90s but boy did I try. Sailor Moon changed my life and I felt so similar to you when you said that. It still means so much to me and I still have a whole drawer dedicated to my sailor moon collection. I remember also doing a writing assignment on Sailor Moon and how it often gave people the wrong idea. I also wrote 2 plays that are so awful but I was so excited for. Trying to get preteens to act it out for me didn’t go so well lol Thank you so much for bringing back all of these memories

It's nice to hear someone else say "this changed my life" because sometimes you think it's just such a small and silly thing to have that big of an impact, but it's true! I love that you wrote PLAYS for this!! I'm curious to know what they were about but I totally get it if you don't want to share (like me and my paper lol). That's really ambitious of you though. It's fun to look back and see how the things we love(d) have shaped us over the years, whether it was a passing fancy or a lifelong thing. Thanks for watching!

@@momokeen I've been thinking about this so much, that I actually went and revisited my collection. It was so fun and a really great trip down memory lane. Not only did I find the plays (They are about as bad as I thought) but other neat things, like a hand written list of all of the characters that were in the show. I kept it by the tv so I could write them down as I watched and remember them later. I'd be happy to share some pics and stuff with you if you would like

Diehard Sailor Moon fan here! Used to upload nothing but sailor moon stuff from like 2009-2013. Favorite scout? Jupiter easy haha. First time I saw the japanese version was actually when KZbin launched. I was trying to watch a bunch of DiC stuff then learned about the differences of the japanese version and how hostile some of the fans were lol

My favorite scout growing up was Sailor Moon, though today I think it's Jupiter. The first time I saw the original version subbed was from getting the Sailor Moon S movie for Christmas in 5th grade.

Your collection is INCREDIBLE! I got into Sailor Moon when I was 7 or so, and unfortunately most of the toys/books/merch I had got sold at a garage sale. 😭 What I wouldn’t give to get it all back! I still have a few of the trading cards, but that’s it.

@@momokeen being Australian i don’t remember much Sailor Moon merch over here in the 90s and 00s we had VHS tapes and that was pretty much it they did a few with pink boarders and pictures of the scouts on the cover Computer School Blues had Jupiter on the cover for some reason lol
