My Vintage Chanel Jumbo Unboxing!

My 2 questions are 1) are all jumbos made in Italy now and 2) if I ever need to get the gold replated, will they do the real gold plating or colored plating?
I paid $3,700 for the bag. I've seen them from around $2,500 - $3,500 but this one was near mint. My lovely seller was simone*debeauvoir

Your bag is lovely. I have a classic flap m/l but it's kind of small. I was thinking to get a jumbo. However it's kind of weird to have the same bag in different sizes. They are made in both Italy and France. Having jumbos recently bought new , I ve noticed French bags are softer whether it be caviar or Lambskin . Lovely bag congrats .

normally they will keep up with the gold plating. aslong as you take good care of the hard ware it shouldn't tarnish. Beautiful bag one of my faves !

I just bought my Jumbo Black Caviar here in Hawaii last month and my SA brought one out made in France for me. She was so nice 'coz the purse that was made in Italy really had a loud leather sound in it's handle. I guess the availability of "made in France" depends on the store. You have a lovely purse!

Great unboxing of your beautiful Chanel. I wanted to ask you about what you mentioned, buying a jumbo with silver hw in the future. I am the opposite. I currently own a jumbo in caviar leather with silver hw which I purchased back in 2002 at Nordstrom. At that time, I was into silver jewelry but now wear only gold. I am currently shopping for a vintage jumbo classic flap with gold hw, like yours. My initial thought is too resell my caviar with silver hw since I don't wear silver jewelry anymore and because of that don't use it enough, at least 1x a month. I thought about what you said about getting a jumbo with silver later on. Maybe I should keep mine then. Other than having two classic jumbo flaps, in gold and silver to match with outfit of the day, is there any other special reason to keep the silver or have two jumbos for that matter? Thank you!

I know it does seem a bit redundant, but if you check out my next video, the new chanel unboxing, I compare the 2 bags at the end. One is new and the other is this vintage. I think the vintage with the big CCs is much fancier, where the silver is young and fresh. You can also see the sizes are a bit different. The jumbo in the vintage looks to be more like the maxi size now. So I think the 2 bags look different. If they were both the new style, then yes I think the only reason would be to match jewelry and I wouldn't do that.
