My son drove across country for a new job and just happened to stay in Albequerque during the Balloon Fiesta. Got up super early to see the glow and takeoff. He said New Mexico was spectacular ❤️ So glad you had fun. The green yoda took off in front of him!

My wife and I were there the second week . Truly a bucket list event . We took our kids 19 years ago and were way overdo to return . We took the opportunity to go to Carlsbad Caverns, Guadalupe Mountains National Park , Chiricajua National Monument and the General Patton museum at Chiriaco Summit 27 miles East of Indio California and finally home to SoCal. So glad you enjoyed and shared this experience.

The scene at 14:30 when you're standing amongst all the balloons is just breathtaking. I'm in awe. I had wanted to do a balloon ride while in the last leg of my European trip but I looked into it too late and the weather wasn't good. I'll have to make sure I visit this event next year.

I am so jealous! I was there a few years ago and was set to take a dawn patrol balloon ride but the winds kicked up and they cancelled all the balloon rides for the day….boo hoo. So I hope to return again so I can finally see the sky filled with balloons.

When I was stationed at Fort Biss in Elpaso, Texas I went to my first Albuquerque New Mexico air balloon festival october 2019. I slept in my car. It all started at 430 in the morning I got there early so I didnt have to pay for parking. It was a cold, windy sunny day and I loved every moment. Cant wait to go back again this time I will have my Travato 59gl to sleep in very confortable. Thanks Tiff for telling me what rig you had I checked it out and felt in love with it and now I'm a proud owner and apart of the Travato newbies and not a wannabes anymore. Have fun Lady!
