The fact that it does little to "NOTHING" to change the unboxing yet makes it more interactive and exciting is genuinely amazing

I’m only mid way through the video, so you may mention this later, but K-pop has been doing something similar to this for a while now with photo cards. When you buy an album, it will come with a set of photo cards, either from the album’s concept photography, a music video, or an exclusive photo shoot just for these photo cards. The album packages remain small, but buyers are pulled deeper into the themes of the album and can trade these cards to get those that include their bias, meaning their favorite member. Obviously that is a wildly different application from how you are pitching it, but just thought it was worth mentioning.

I had absolutely no idea, but wow pretty cool! this concept doesn’t have that element of randomness but I get why it made you think of that, it’s indeed a similar concept

ngl that makes sense, more so since they're a designed centric phone compnay, or at least that's how I perceive them I really wonder why they didn't borrow Apple's idea of giving stickers with products, they could have transparent stickers with holographic or shimmery designs for each product, that is similar to your idea of having a physical tangible collectible item, a different kind of vanity - you can stick it on things you like, college laptops are full of stickers haha

they do give stickers at launch events or similar occasions afaik, but imho our idea has way more potential. personally, I've never used the stickers I got from Apple products, and after the third time you see them, you don't even register their presence. cards intrinsically can be much more varied and interesting.

What could be even cooler would be to put actual booster packs inside, containing a fixed card, corresponding to the product purchased, and a random card , corresponding to another product in the ecosystem that synergises well with the purchased product (like earbuds or smartwatch), along with documentation for warranty and such and maybe a sticker card

I so confidently yelled "EGGS!" when you asked us to guess the inspiration. I've got to get credit for it though, right? Blisters to protect the goods, flat sealing edges....YOLK YELLOW BUDS

What would be even cooler would be to do something like the samsung cases where the case has it's own wallpaper. the cards could have an NFC chip with little easter eggs when you scan them. Some give you cool new wallpapers while others bring up fun low scope games. The sky truly is the limit.

They can also add some lighting effects and add a wireless coil used for charging to light up the card! Isn't that cool 🔥

What if when unboxing, people just throw the cards away thinking it as user manual/booklets?

That's a risk worth taking

6:05 while I love the card concept I don’t think using the ndot font was a good idea, as nothing themselves have stated that it’s only ever good for headings, using a serif font or some other light font would enhance the readability in addition to highlighting some key aspects of the product. Still really great design 🎉
@AndreaCopellino3 күн бұрын
thanks! the serif font would work fine too, but in this case we went for the slightly compressed ndot variant, which is much more legible imho, I don't think it'd be an issue

Besides good design people have u use covers in their devices , so if anyone who gets these cards can use them behind their transparent cover , so i think the cards that u are making should complement with the led’s that they use in their design
