well done mate, I am in the same boat as you, I keep upgrading and modifying my little £15 welder but I am too tight to buy a new one, so I feel your pain. Keep up the good work.

I really don't think it is about being tight but more about being bright. Most people are programmed by a throwaway psychology in our age. Similar to yourself, I have always deployed a solution focus to my resources. Strip it down and investigate then repair accordingly. That makes the difference between a 'fitter' and a mechanical engineer. Did you manage to resolve the issue eventually?

Yes I did. It’s still working now. I have used it this weekend just gone

You got way more patience than me ! I would of kicked it in the bin around the 10 minute mark lol there’s too many bits to remember where they go ! I’ve been fairly lucky with my Mig , apart from changing the tips and the gas bottle I’ve never touched it ! It’s still on the 25yr old torch and liner .... living on borrowed time aye !!

Hello, hopefully you can help me out. I have an Astro Power mig 130 that is powered by 110 AC volts. Same mig as yours, just sold under a different name. The plastic wire feeder assembly broke. I since have disassembled my machine and I'm going to purchase a replacement unit off ebay. I'll have to make some modifications so it bolts in place. Can you tell me if the wire feed motor is powered by 12 volts, or 24 volts? Thanks.
@Thecarislife4 жыл бұрын
Hi, im not entirely sure. It was something i checked when i wired in my gas solenoid valve, I would have to power up my machine to check the voltage when operated
@karl17583 жыл бұрын
24 volt

And for my favorite, we use Miller welders here, i do have a gasless Lincoln welder too and it does fine and Lincoln make bigger gas migs too.
