That was brilliant, I love how it all came together according to plan especially the drawers, beautiful! My only 2 suggestions (only because I know I would mess myself up eventually): Radius the inside edges of the drawer faces as well to keep it from pinching and cutting a finger. And I personally steer away from drawer handles with "catches" on the ends, inevitably I hook a hip or pant loop. Just my deal, but again that was great work! Subscribed.

Excellent build. I seen spot welds done by both MIG and TIG tons of times but this was the best result yet. Have you thought about grinding a small notch on the rim of the cup for spot welding? May help hot gasses escape or maybe not a good idea? I seen your settings listed but what diameter electrode and how was it prepared (blunt, pointed etc)? Greatly appreciate any feedback!!!!. Cheers

Very cool welding table 😎 👌, your attention to detail is great 👍, hope to see more videos like this, but the whole cnc deal isn't really what we're into, manual milling, drilling and other operations are where it's at! Don't get us wrong, cnc has it's place, water jet, laser and plasma is very cool!

Great Video! Question: how did you, or are you, going to protect the rustable metal? The AL front faces are no problem (unless the steel screws galvanically corrode in the AL), but I gather that you had the sides and drawers made out of sheet steel of some kind, and that will rust over time (unless it was stainless? Cant tell if its stainless). Thanks!
@nubtools Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks! It’s steel. All steel will be power coated or painted.

Love the table. I am building my own and have a question about the casters, when they are not on the wheel (on the rubber pad) how sturdy are they, is there any wobble? Would be really annoying if after all that work the table jiggled while you were working on it.
@nubtools2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tommy, I have not yet lifted all the wheels off the ground yet. So unfortunately I can’t speak to the solidness of it. I will say the rubber is fairly hard but still I don’t expect them to be as rock solid as metal pads. I will try and speak to this when I get to the end of the project. Thanks for watching!

@@nubtools I had the same question regarding the SendCutSend stuff for the cabinet/drawers. I've tried using them for some .250" work, and t was going to be $700 for two small 21x12 shelves with triangle braces. I'm guessing the thinner gauge stuff gets exponentially less expensive, but I'd be curious to know what a "real world" cost was for them to turn your cabinet parts.
@nubtools Жыл бұрын
Hey Professor Lloyd, the total cost at that time for all the drawer sheetmetal and drawer faces came in just under $1,000 shipped to my door with all the bending too.
