The question, "what should I do when cheated on" is so easy to answer from one's armchair. But when it actually happens to you, you discover yourself in a complicated cost-benefit analysis. For some people, it makes sense to decide that the costs of leaving are higher than the costs of staying. For me, though, leaving worked out so much better than I feared. Wow. You seem to make the issue a lot more complicated than it really is. There are just so few terms in this "cost-benefit analysis". "Having to live the rest of your life with the fact of betrayal" is on the cost side and from my perspective it is made entirely of neutron star material. NOTHING will balance it. Imagine everything you ever valued in life now had, and forever would have, 1/4 inch thick layer of dog pooh on it. And no amount of effort on your part would ever wash it off and even every new thing you ever got or experienced had this layer on it. It ruins and contaminates EVERYTHING. Forever. That's betrayal for you. For the rest of your life you could never go through a day without thinking about it a handful of times. Getting away from a history of betrayal, to me, feels like a thing that is worth any price you pay to get rid of. To be able to move forward with a new love that has never betrayed you. Cost-benefit analysis THAT. Life is so short. Living a life in any other way seems like such a waste. Such an easy cost-benefit analysis to make.

By the way, I think he did the right thing not to reconcile. At least without some kind of revenge (affair). Simply because she was incredibly arrogant, showed no remorse, and indeed had every opportunity to talk with him BEFORE the affair. I'm a little annoyed that his idea that she was forced by circumstance to come clean was not worked out, that didn't seem wrong at all.

@@maddmaestro1 My 1st wife went semi public with her boyfriend. My youngest was just barely out of diapers. She had to go. The best way to aggravate a soon to be ex is to qualify simply replace her. The ex wants you to sit at home and pine over her loss. Screw that crap. I replaced her within 2 weeks. From the 2nd week on I was ALWAYS seen with a pretty woman by my side. Not always the same woman but always a pretty woman. Most ex's get off on her soon to be ex sitting home crying. My take was I didn't have time to sit around feeling sorry for myself. Quickly replacing her is sort of giving her the finger and moving on .

With my 1st wife I realized that eventually I was going to demand divorce because of her actions.. But she wasn't going to get the house. I sold the house telling her that we would just rent and take our time finding the right house. I had no intention of ever owning a house with her. I was just taking my time because we had small kids. Finally I threw her out. She was a beautiful woman that turned heads everywhere she went.. She was used to men falling all over her. The part that cracks me up is the people here in the comments. Normally everyone says that if you are not happy with the marriage, then let your partner know so you can work on it. According to this story, she did. He seemed to ignore everything, and admitted to all of her perceived issues. Now, i dont agree with the cheating part, but it seems that it took this drastic action for him to realize his shortcomings. Great story. So Karma does not exist. This is the truth. Ive heard stories like this before. When the women are beautiful they move on and in most cases move up leaving their ex husbands in a lurch. This is real life and Im glad he made this video about reality. Its not pretty but this is how it is in many instances. So this poor guy now has to deal with it all and is not doing well.Again this is reality. We need more of these kinds of stories to set everyone straight.
