It's strange when the victim has a redemption arc when he was reacting in a grieving moment. He should felt the emptiness for what should have been, not what he has done like destroying 2 people reputation. It's more natural to relish in the pain of sinners than trying to be a Mary Sue and feel guilty for the destruction of the guilty.

Doesn’t feel real or right. Idk anyone that feels empty or loss after revenge unless they do something drastic like end life. Basic surface revenge doesn’t have this much loss and regretful feelings. Especially if it’s destroying a cheating spouse.

The story is BS and the man is weak. How did he turn into "a monster" for releasing the video. What happened to her and her AP is the consequence of their action, nothing more. I don't know who the writeris, but there are many stories like this that every few seconds they use the expression "but at what cost". No one but a weak beta male would think like that.
