Damn, poor guy. That one had all the makings of a great story if we’d been given the reason why she became the way she did and he had some answers at least. I’m not asking for a showdown between him and the entity, but someone who lived there for a long enough time like that old man. And could explain it all. If the guy was crazy enough to go after her/it after learning about it, well we’d be faced with either a challenge between them, or at least he’d have some answers. Aside from that I really liked this, just wish I knew why she ended up that way.

*spoiler* Great narration. Like most horror story married couples, the characters have literally zero communication skills or marital intimacy. Too bad they wasted the few days they had together with passive aggressively avoiding each other rather than enjoying actual quality time together. Of course the lack of communication is necessary for the suspense of the story, but she could have just said from the moment she arrived "I'm cursed and the moment I close my eyes I'll vanish again, so let's make the most of what time we have together."

Ummm.. ok? It started out okay. Then quickly devolved into making absolutely zero sense with zero explanation. This is not how married people act. Or anyone whos ever met another human being for that matter lol. Why would a husband just casually notice scary medically impossible things about his wife, and just completely ignore it for days and days and do nothing about it? The old man in town also, what was the point? He provides zero further information. Neither did his 5 minutes of 'research' that also led absolutely nowhere. The entire story was clearly written by AI.

I was really hooked even midway through! But the ending had such glaring inconsistencies, like the long section about how she doesn't breathe and is frozen to the touch, to suddenly her "having trouble breathing" and being warm (and then gone)-her state of being literally a narrative device, smh. This also made me believe it was an AI creation.

This story wasn't very good. Too much of the MC just standing around doing nothing....absolutely nothing. For over three days or says he did nothing....gee I wonder why "it was too late her body was giving up" And the build up of what was wrong with the wife quickly lost any tension when all she did was stand still, go in the cold and not blink. No development after the first encounter. Great reading as always but this story was terrible and was a giant fluff of nothing happening. 😢
