With the first story, if anything happened to the child while the child was in her custody, they would have probably tried to sue her. I agree with the woman that her ex should have made childcare plans ahead of time, knowing that him and his gf were having another child.

For all the daughter's complaining about the mess though, how come she didn't help clean up the kitchen the previous night to help out her dad? At 17 yrs old she is old enough to help with the clean up. That is what my son would do. He would help me either by loading or unloading the dishwasher and/or help me put the leftovers away in the fridge.

The issue with keeping adoption a secret is that we know now, after decades of research, that EVEN IF the baby never meets their birth mother, EVEN IF no abuse happens to the child at any point in time, adoption is inherently traumatic. Even if you do not tell them, that tiny newborn knows that you are not their mother, that tiny newborn knows that they no longer can find their mother. That impacts the brain in extremely complex ways. At this point in time, it is almost impossible to adopt a child through legitimate, reputable organizations if you disclose that you intend to keep the adoption a secret from the child. That's how harmful it is, they don't let people have a baby if they plan to do it. However, this was not necessarily the case at the point in time where a now-grown woman was being adopted as a baby. So I obviously understand why older parents might not have kept up to date on the new science of adoption and how it impacts developmental psychology, they think the days of needing to know about that stuff is over, they think their family did fine. But in a huge number of cases, that adopted adult feels like something is wrong and can't quite identify why, and knowing they went through that trauma of adoption would help them overcome it and process it properly. It's not every child I'm sure, but it's enough of them that it's a consensus at this point. So it's good that she knows now, even though it hurt to find out. It gives her the info she needs to have in order to recover from any attachment-type wounds that may have formed with seemingly no explanation she could find before knowing this

First, the women made the decision for her ,husband . He didn't know about anything until the baby was born. So she was also lying the whole time, hiding it to everyone. Accountability and responsibility for her actions in steady of blaming people. She was the one who brought it up at the party and the husband was not there to defend himself. It sounds like she doesn't want to accept the consequences for HER ACTIONS.

No, it's normal to feel uncomfortable about that. At the end of the day you can't force her to get rid of it, it's her choice. You only have 3 options, talk to her and see what happens or you accept it and move on with the relationship or you can leave and find someone that you are more compatible with. Nobody is forcing you to be with someone that makes you uncomfortable.
