I have a friend who is over weight, who is constantly criticized & horribly insulted by her husband, but then she’s birthed 7 kids via c-section. Its much more difficult for women to loose weight after having several children. I think people ought to be more sensitive about this one.

Yeah but it doesn't change the fact that being obese is unattractive. You have to deal with your circumstance. Although insulting your own wife for it is highly critical. I'm sure there are nicer ways to motivate your wife to lose weight.

Can you imagine, and he constantly complains about how women are shallow gold-diggers, etc, for rejecting him because he ‘doesn’t have a six pack’ and is ‘not a millionaire’ lol, his own words, yet he is always chasing women who are waaay out of his league and would never consider a woman who is as fat and as poor as he is. 6:00, the first 2 lines of the first paragraph I will agree with, but you seemed to have skipped over that bit. Having a short torso or a boxy torso torso is indeed bone structure and if you work out you will still have that build. Thats also what I believe the whole “pear shape” or “hourglass shap” is about, it’s about your proportions. Pear being if you have a small upper body(chest, and shoulders), but have bigger hips, hourglass being if you have a bigger upper body (shoulders, chest), small waist and big hips. I agree with what your wife says but she was definitely confused. I know she said in the response that she isn’t talking about things you can’t control but in the post she mentioned something that you cannot control. Both men and women should have their personal standards, weither it seems harsh or not. Do I believe both sides need to be posting it for all to see, making lists, and arguing? No. Because the facts are already there, being active and healthy is the best way for humans and we all need to strive to be fit and at the correct weight.

All of the listed items are things a woman can do or not do to improve herself. However, Number 10 is extremely offense. Weight issues aside, some women have little to no curves. Some women are very top heavy, but a normal weight otherwise. Some women have broad shoulders. Take several seats for having for further increasing insecurities in women. You cannot diet or exercise your broad shoulders away nor can your lifestyle change your breast cup size. Infact, one of the flattest women I know, is like 90 lbs. And she is wonderful, pious, has a good husband and a happy family. Ma sha Allah, May Allah increase them in barakaat.

@rensal22 14 күн бұрын
@haifaashraf1955 I agree with you. I think the problem of unrealistic demand is from both camps. I've heard demands like: no hijab, skinny dress size 4, green or blue eyes, fair skin, even requests of breast size and bottom size. I remember even hearing such talk from aunties looking for their son "oh he doesn't want her butt to look like XYZ". This was in the 90s and early 2000s. I think the pendulum has now swung in the opposite direction. Some women are making too many demands about looks or money. Everyone needs a reality check. When my husband and I got married WE BOTH ADMITTED THAT WE DIDNT LIKE EACH OTHERS PICTURES. We liked each other in person though. And he traveled 4 hours out of state to see me/my family because we had similar Islamic values and could communicate well. (His sister monitored our charts online). We need to give people chances even if they're not our "type". I've been married for 11 years now.

This contradicts discouraging plastic surgery because buy calling a certain shape one is born with "the wrong shape", you're planting the idea of changing it with surgery. And lastly, my advice is to not fall for this "so based" trend á la Andrew Tate and western "Red Pill" ideology. For example, during the time of the prophet peace be on him, women with multiple layers of fat around their waist was what men found attractive. In some cultures up to this day like in Mauritania for example, fat women are what men find attractive. This can be explained by the fact that what humans find attractive can also be related to social status. And what tends to signal wealth is what people will find attractive. This article seems to be mostly written based on contrarianism, rather than objectivity. I could point out many other inaccuracies, for instance, many men do like tattoos in women. Women during Jahiliya even used to tattoo themselves, and you can still find men up to this day who find that attractive. Just objectively speaking, not to encourage tattoos.

fat, short, bad hygiene... So a lot of similar things but behaviour is also very important for women. So you could be looking 10/10 but if you behave immature and childish it would make you a 2/10. Whereas men would tolerate more bad behavior as long as you look good.

Being a healthy weight is crucial but y'all it takes effort and is much harder if you're a sahm and don't get out much. There's less motivation at home where you have easy access to the pantry. I gained 6 kg in lockdown when I was stuck at home and bored. Lost the weight when school reopened because I was moving my body a lot more and not as tempted by my kitchen since I was in school. When I'm 18 I'm going to buy a gym membership. If husband's want slim wives they have to step up and either buy them a gym membership, or home equipment and workout side by side with her for motivation or take her hiking or other outdoor activities that gets the body moving. To do none of these things and expect ur wife to somehow retain her prepregnancy body after she's literally carried a whole human being in her belly is ridiculous, and those husbands who make sly remarks about their wife after she's put her body through hell to birth his children are just disgusting. I have no more respect for them than I would an atheist man who treats women like an object merely for his viewing pleasure.

Children are unknowing. Out of boys and girls. Girls mature faster. So the preference here would be girls. But even then girls and unknowing of men. And even to women. It isn't right to ask. The beautification of women isn't permitted Sister. Like trimming the eyebrows for beauty or attraction. If it's done in health conditions then it is permissible. Skin care is very important. Nothing wrong with face masks. General exercising. Taking care of the hair and teeth. Good diet. The women imitating men is made in the point that it seems like women want to replace men. The reason you don't see this in women's lists "men who try to do a feminine body etc" because men don't do it. There are mentions of weakness about men covering in female representation but this comes from appropriating women and fetishing them. Degrading women. Part 1

Vape a lot of men. Alot. I tell my brother can you do it outside please. Piercings. A lot of men do ear piercings because they think it looks cool. It's not my thing and it looks like it hurts. Dying the hair entails hurting the hair so by schools of thought this would be not permissible. Being loud and aggressive isn't bad per say only when you are as I said imitating the man in reverse placehood. From male perspectives. Deviating from what is allocated to them. How women talk to men is also accounted for فَلَا تَخْضَعْنَ بِالْقَوْلِ فَيَطْمَعَ الَّذِي فِي قَلْبِهِ مَرَضٌ وَقُلْنَ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوفًا “Then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech.” Surah al-Ahzab (32) Part 2

@@bintkhorasani7015 no because if you actually looked into anatomy you would know women enforce their body composition to be closer to male ones. I know because I've spent time researching it. Women's shoulders, torso is not that of a man's. Do not say women can have wide shoulders or a boxy torso because women are not men. It is enforced by forcing their shoulders in unnatural contortions. I have a whole written piece on this. The ones who commonly bring "wide shoulders" into the conversation are women then go to imitate their misconstrued constructions of men. Even looking at the imbalances in disposition. Including when women don't get enough of certain enzymes etc hence forth what they have isn't natural. Why? Because if the result comes with cancerous results it isn't natural! An unnatural body is what the beautification of the body is. Hence why the Prophet (S.A.W) cursed the women who did so. Why? Because it's changing Allah's creation. Simple as that. Some of the comments from women who have husbands that don't find them attractive anymore after they went through pregnancy just to give him children make me so mad. Personally I'm not worried about obesity as I suffer from anorexia. These men should be grateful they have a wife who's eating and able to nourish that baby in the way that it deserves to be nourished. If I got pregnant any husband I have would be lucky if that baby even survived with me being barely 94 pounds and not wanting to eat anything.

Anorec-zia is not attractive sis. Please eat. Not saying you should be overweight, but just enough to be slim-fit.

It's funny how this will get a tonne of hate but women's preferences in men are considered completely valid 😂

Everyone's general preferences are valid as long as they're not literally obsessed with looks and way too specefic with their preferences, there is nothing wrong with the list being simply a poll on what men might generally find unattractive , but this isnt just a poll giving you some facts and that's it, the post is about advising wives to be a certain way so the women in the comments got the impression that they're expected to do sth about their broad shoulders and what not.. ( not talking about obesity cuz most people had a problem with the body shape point not the obesity)

Women who might be considered slightly obese but their lady curves also increase because of it can be very attractive. Then there are those who you can tell dont hold back from food at the restaurant. (Im a cook at a halal restaurant)

Why are you expecting a reply here? And this doesn't necessarily have anything to do with halal and haram. It simply being ugly is also enough to get included in that list.

@@LanguageLearning13 if something is halal who cares what's ugly or not because that's subjective.

@@YaMumineenit's more of a cultural thing as you see in south Asian cultures that also leans not from Islam

@@LanguageLearning13 Except it's not objectively ugly, and it's attractive in many cultures. He's dead wrong. He's taking a p*ss at the western feminist archetype, while simultaneously offending women who are being perfectly normal.

Nose piercing on one side and septum piercing look totally different. One looks like a normal south Asian lady and the other looks like a bull
