It’s obvious that either Browner or MC’s wife wanted to humiliate him by rubbing his face in the affair. It seemed like Browner was way too cowardly, being too respectful and way too timid and he wasn’t smirking nearly enough. Anyway, it’s weird that they announced their intentions instead of continuing to sneak around as neither of them seemed to have the requisite audacity.

Since they both agreed that the affair would not be long term and she loved her husband what was the purpose of revealing their intentions. I thought that she may have wanted to spend nights or weekends with him. Telling him didn't seem like it was a "He deserves to know" thing or a "If he knows then it isn't cheating. It's More than likely they want him to know so they can do and get away with the actions stated above.

Good story, even though it's like the third time I heard it. Just deserts. Thank god our protagonist didn't have to spend two thirds of the story in an agonizing and boring journey of discovery into his self worth and masculinity. The fact that the cheating skank and her dumb @$$ boytoy were blindsided from the beginning and never had a chance to get up off the mat. One has to be careful about a story where there's no true tension or potential of loss in the outcome. This story managed that by judiciously spreading out each surprise, and keeping the story comparatively short. Over very good.
