I grew up at this track until 1965, moving to Wisconsin. Unique track with its banking and tacky black gumbo dirt. Almost dizzying as a spectator there! Tough to tackle on initial runs there! It's been fun watching and following you over the years, feeling part of your successes and development!

When everyone including the late models all had the engines running you could feel the rumble from the main grandstands was really awesome experience

After following you on KZbin , it was great to finally meet you. I have always thought that this track is a hard one to run and make any progress. If you start in the front you end up in front. If you start in the back it's a major battle to make any ground. Keep up the good work. We are watching.

You are a great driver, you know how the car feels and that helps the crew so much with setup. Is the Outlaw tour over Sept 16th, if so hope to see the 1T or maybe your sister in the 18 at Spoon River Speedway in Canton Illinois for the 410 show. It is a hidden gem of a track!

Great run you had going there. You have got to run hard when you are with the outlaws. Dont feel bad Tanner. You did good.

As the track widened out in the A, those passing opportunities opened up and made for a very fun race to watch. Soooo fast!! Very bummed that your night ended the way it did, but it sounds like every race is a great learning opportunity for you and that so important for you in the future. Good luck racing with this tour and we hope to see you again in Grand Forks. There’s a local restaurant that you need to try next year!

I happen to think that trying not to beat the heck out of the wall with the car was the best choice. If the guy that was behind you that ended up taging you could've avoided you it would've been ok but hey that is racing with the WoO they don't run anything but hard. Good news is the cars 1t and the one that tagged you can probably be easily fixed and ran hard all over again in the next race. Thanks Tanner for sharing this video with us. Have a good one. Have fun take care

That was a bummer. It's rare to start that far back and nail a setup where you can just fly by the field. I think you were going to be a top10 for sure. It seems Logan is running better now as well now that he has a more consistent teammate. It seems adding you to the team has helped balance things out for him as well. Hopefully you guys can keep the momentum going through the west coast swing 👍

Tanner. I have the utmost confidence that you will become one of the greatest sprintcar drivers in history, That said, could I please offer you some well intended constructive criticism about the youtube videos themselves and the optics of your channel. Firstly when you feature a fan and bring them into your video, it isn't really interesting or important to hear what they thought of the track tonight. What people want to see, is you connecting with them as a person. Who they are, why they love speedway and some personal stuff, would make you look more like you care about your fans than track conditions. They're not necessarily experts on the track and it's honestly not what they wanted to join your video to discuss. Secondly. There's a MASSIVE opportunity here where you are unfortunately the cause of a bit of a stack and made contact with another car, to be a good sport and go up to that driver in the pits and not necessarily apologise, but to make sure there's no hard feelings and demonstrate the comradery and brotherhood between drivers and teams. In other words, show us the HUMAN side and how to be a good sport, because we know you are. Hope that wasn't too harsh.
@TannerHolmes Жыл бұрын
Very fair! In the moment of everything...I have not thought of it that way. Will consider for the future!

I will give a second on the fan appreciation thought for Tanner. What we all know from his catalog of videos this to be true. If I may make another observation/suggestion. One thing I have yet to see is any one driver actually taking aside one or two fans and having a 30 second or longer conversation with that individual. There have been a few over the years who have given this time. Kindred spirits comes to mind in the sense that making a connection, a deeper one, will find some solace within a heartfelt moment that truly is meaningful. He has all of the tools, slowly building a portfolio of information, experience, that will sharpen his humility all stemming from his families foundation of caring will propel this young man to where ever life takes him, on his terms. Go get em Tanner and give thanks as I know you do to your great folks for believing in you and Carly. You are both gems....!

Just shows how hard it is to make it as a racer. The opportunities are so rare to advance. Only a few make it out of the minor leagues. I hope you are one of them. Fortunate for you and your sister, your family has the resources to initiate your quest for a full time ride. I'm curious as to what time frame you have given yourself to succeed at the desired level before you choose a different path in life. The best to you and your family.

I dont think bobby allen is upset with you at all the damage may have ended your race if you can roll the car into the trailer thats a win in itself your exactly what shark racing needed having different drivers all the time doesn’t work well they needed one driver that they can set the car up for every driver is different once they get comfortable with you and your driving style its going to be game on

It is cool to say oops once in a while. You were on it and then . Awful hard work on this night. A sudden loss of control, and you would have saved it but for what happened. I have a hunch you may have had a problem that didn't show after the crash, the car acted really strange.
