I changed 2 quarts of my tranny fluid when I replaced the driveshaft seal on the passenger side, it was a little weepy and I had to pull the axle to drop the turbo manifold anyway. I measured how much came out when I pulled the seal and it was about 1.8 quarts. I replaced 2 quarts back into it and it shifted better than before. The oil in mine was blackish but still had some red when on your finger. I might drain the tranny from the bottom plug and replace what I can get out in a while just to see if it makes any difference. My tranny was shifting alright before this but it is less clunky now when it is warmed up. I have heard you get about 3 quarts out when you pull the drain plug. I don't really see the point in doing any fancy flushing techniques like some people have done on youtube, not really that important to get it all out and you kinda want it to mix together so that stuff doesn't break apart and start clogging the valve body and what not... just my thoughts on that - can't remember if it was this video you talked about your tranny shifting slow or not... saw it in one of em. I dunno thats my experience with it and I have just drained a lot of GM truck pans and replaced the filter, cleaned the pan and the magnet, and replaced what fluid I could get out in the past, they always have shifted better after... about 15 years of experience and thats what I came up with as my best way. Problem with these transmissions is that the filter is not replaceable without cracking the case in half... stupid design
