So sorry all your hard work from last year has gone down the gurgler. The plastic cupboards look they will have to do. Last time I wrote I had retired off the highway.....but didn't last long and went back on the road........retirement isn't what it's made out to be. However retired again, doing my woodwork and still watching your videos. Enjoy your break.

I'm feeling your disappointment mate , we had the queensland version eat parts of our house . An equal parts mixture of borax and meat meal ( blood and bone garden fertiliser) , slightly moistened with water can work . My personal preference is a known termite resistant wood or steel. Cheers 🇦🇺

Bloody termites they can make a mess of everything. It looked like my backyard motorcycle repair shop that I had once. I built a beautiful workbench and tool storage. Next thing I know I'm working 6-7 days a weeks for several months and didn't even get close to the workshop. Finally had some free time and found the termites have moved in and destroyed everything including 100's of dollars worth of tools. I eventually rebuilt it only this time I soaked the place in Creosote. The fumes from it might have been a bit hard on the eyes for the first few weeks but it stopped those little buggers from coming back.

Looks like you're have a great, relaxing holiday, that wood must have been very tasty!... There's loads of fantastic German apple recopies. I never liked plastic anything, but some times it's the only answer, and it does the job just fine. I did some inter- stating the past few weeks... I took and grey towel with me...... When I got to Coona I couldn't find it any where, but as soon as I got through Parks it was back where I left it...... . Lost all the head lights just after Marulan, and waited 6 hours for a guy from Goulburn to come and fix them. Ran out of time at Coolac so I camped at the truck parking bay for the rest of the night, and the temp dropped to -4. The water in the toilet was frozen in the morning. I also went in to a Pie Face, and saw they were selling a cake for $75 ???????? Back in Tasmania now, snow on the mountains most nights.. -5 at night and +11 through the day... No termites here.....But I do have a load of Colourbond flashing sitting about.

Ken, that's exactly not what you wanted for your welcome home party, a few too many "guests" were invited. Your cake looked absolutely delicious, if only you could have passed a piece through the screen for us all to try? Lol. 2 quick questions, 1. What's it like sitting on the drivers side of the car over here (Australia), and be driven by Joy? Must be nice to have some time not driving, and 2. Does the freight transport in the Philippines run with rigid trucks as by the looks of the roads over there a road train A/B double or even semi's would be impossible to go on those roads with everyone everywhere like they are?

Those termites are very destructive Ken. I guess thats why concrete is preferred construction in PH. Surely Ken, you would know from Australia that ColorBond and Zincalume roofs in Australia, somebody must stock that in PH. Dont they know what valley irons are. I cant tell you Ken, that in northern Luzon metal roofs are not very well constructed. You need a good roof plumber from Queensland Australia. You must have a good roof plumber trade in Cebu with all of tropical rain. Glad to see you back with the family.
