*please like so joe sees this.* the riddle has to do with the 3 paintings "death granted darkness": picture of the blind man. "gave his flesh to four beasts of the earth": picture of four eagles. "charred black with ardent joy": picture with the fire. if you put the on the wall in that order a different part of the book that you got the the sewing needle from. it has a dummy with a fig leaf on his chest in the middle of a fork (snake) and the left and a spoon (apple) on the right, therefore code solved. you're welcome.

Here, let me give you some peace of mind if you don't know the thing about the code yet! The death riddle is to do with the paintings and you were supposed to put the paintings on the wall at a right order and the book opens again and shows the code :D the fork (the snake) - fig leaf - the spoon (the apple)

If you organize the paintings another way, the book will open to another page that shows the combination. It'll have a doll. On the left the doll will be holding a fork, the stomach will have the fig leaf, and on the right the doll will be holding a spoon. There's the combination. 👍

The code comes from the paintings! You put the paintings in order according to the riddle and then it gives you the code to the door. :)

Joe, the riddle was for the three paintings. First is the small square painting for the darkness, second is the big painting because of the flesh, and then the round painting for the charred flesh from the fire. That opens a new section in the book that reveals a doll with a fork on its right side, a spoon on its left, and a picture of a fig leaf is on the doll. Boom.

the riddle was with the paintings. The north sign near that book gave the clue to that not with the west and east. the birds eating the flesh went in the middle for the man who gave his flesh to 4 beast. then the small plaiting referred west clue in the note. finally the round painting was the east clue for the man with joy, covered in charcoal.

i looked up why the code is in that order and apparently if you put the paintings in alphabetical order on the wall it'll open up a new section in the book where the figure has a leaf symbol in the middle with a fork on the left (the snake) and the spoon on the right (the apple) so the order is snake, leaf, apple

How to find the door code: The note under the bed tells you what order to arrange the pictures on the wall to open the book in a different way, which would give you the code. Another way is the pictures are labeled A, B, and C, and if you put them in that order it will also open the book in the new way to get the code.
