I love this. Found a bunch of similarities with my writing process as well, your “graveyard” of ideas on the far right side of the DAW is just like the “idea boneyard” I’ve got in mine as well. I’ll end up having a great idea but just nothing to incorporate it into at that time. Always nice to be able to come back to it or reference it at a later time. Good to know there’s others who have a similar process! It’s easy to get into that loop of “ideas” but not turning it into a “song” though. That’s what I struggle with the most.

dude... the fuck? haha. audio instead of midi... damn. that's honestly sick. I've literally only ever seen producers in electronic music take that route. And even most of those guys (or gals) still use SOME midi. Damn. haha. I'm literally 3 mins in rn and can already tell this is gonna be interesting.

Dude it’s so sick to see you write in a very similar way! And some of those graveyard parts actually went hard 👌🏻 I wanted to ask too, with the little guitar chugs that you mentioned you pitch up or down, do you record a single guitar chug as an open to do that pitching up/down or how do you go about that? Would be sick to see a video of you piecing an idea together from scratch if you feel like doing one 🤘🏻

Better be backing up those tracks somewhere other than your house/local computer. If a flood or fire happens, you could lose everything. Offsite backups are a must!
