You're so right! You don't need a lot to start a nice YT channel. I started with an iPad and window light 4 years ago. Now I shoot with a Canon M50 and a ring light with a 20.00 microphone .

Gear does matter. Thats why you use what you use. That’s also why filmmakers upgrade their stuff constantly is because if quality matters gear matters

I respectfully disagree! When you first start out gear does not matter. There are channels on KZbin who have been shooting on their phone for years and have close to a million subscribers. I also don’t have the top of the line equipment but I make what I have work! The best camera is the camera you have on you.
