Mya on Working w/ Nicki Minaj, Nicki's Label Charging 'Incredible Fee' for Features (Flashback)

In light of Nicki Minaj still being the headlines, we take a look back at Mya’s 2016 VladTV interview, where she spoke about working with Nicki Minaj. Mya started off speaking about her international fanbase and the different types of fans that she encounters in her life, and Mya went on to detail her charity works. Mya also spoke about meeting with J. Prince, working toward being independent, and her thoughts on R&B music. Mya was then asked about working with Nicki Minaj, which she said came about when she was working with Gucci Mane. Mya then detailed working on “Ponytail” with Nicki, and she explained that there was an “incredible fee” involved in working with major labels. People wonder why she isn't married. My current girlfriend is articulate and well spoken and pretty like she is...But she struggled with men before we started talking. Alot of black men are programmed to like black women who are a certain way. My girl dresses nice and modest and she said guys would try to get her to dress with less clothes and be more revealing. But she was raised in a conservative house and Christian. So was I, so we connect on that. But she went through a lot dating other black men because they think black women need to be a certain way. I guarantee Mya loves black men, but has not found a black man that will Cherish the woman she is. We often talk about the type of men women go after, but men also go after certain women. Personally how I was raised I am more attracted to conservative women who dress modestly.
