Wow Vic! This place is truly amazing! The carvings are so intricate and detailed! Incredibly beautiful! I wonder who was responsible for this major accomplishment? Was it a team of sculpturers? Or the monks themselves? Fascinating! Thanks so much for this video!👍🕊️🙋

These monasteries were built by wood carving experts.. A wealthy person would donate the money and the experts would do all the work, you can still see some of these experts in the markets of Myanmar.. It was an incredibly rewarding experience to be there and to videotape the monastery..

Hi Vic, I am native of Myanmar, now living in the United States. Thank you for your great video presentations of my homeland. I have been to Mandalay a number of times but don't recall visiting this monastery, so your video enlightened me a lot about my own country! Like you, I am also a world traveller and have so far traveled to 45 different countries around the world. When you mention about Myanmar being exotic, I couldn't agree more. However, I found Nepal to be the most exotic of all the countries I've been to. Thanks again, and happy travels in the Golden Land.

@@VicStefanu Thank you, Vic for visiting my Myanmar. If you look at the vlogs of other tourists who visited the country, you will see that 99% of them mentioned about the kind and hospitable people of Myanmar. I look forward to viewing your other videos!

Was that you ignoring the No Shoes sign. I know you did. lol Beautiful classic teak wood Burmese Buddhist temple. If I were building a house, I'd have to put in a special delivery. Notice the techno led lights around the Buddha heads just like 1980's stereo equalizer light strips? The Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon is quite the site.

How do you know I ignored the 'no shoes' sign, did I show my feet on the video?

@@VicStefanuYou didn't stop to remove your shoes and I could hear your shoe steps up until you showed the gold Buddha. It's OK, I really don't care for I'm not Buddhist nor in a temple community like that, I just thought it was so funny and laughing out loud. I kept my shoes on in a rural destroyed ancient temple site in Myanmar without weeds cleared nor a roofed structure only to be busted and called out by school kids for not removing my shoes. I was using this 2 wheeled horse and buggy in a place that didn't yet have cars and modern anything which was incredible to experience like time travel.
