Burmese sayadaws used to say there are 4 kinds of people 1, The one who go to the light from from the dark. 2, who go to the light from the light 3, who go to the dark from the light 4, who go to the dark from the dark. Thaeingu sayadaw and U Kyaw are the examples of no.1 and so is U Goenka. Mahasi and Mogoat sayadaws are the examples of no.2 A very famous and successful sayadaw who gave up the monk hood to marry a woman is the example of no. 3
