I know we only listed & recognize Monica, Brandy, & Aaliyah as the teen holy trinity but if we’re being honest Mya may not could sing better than Monica & Brandy but she could out sing Aaliyah and was a much better performer!!! Aaliyah had more appealing look and made better music but that Mya was one of them ones on that stage! She’s uniquely talented! She deserves a lot more recognition for her contribution and efforts to the culture!

Elvick It has more to do with fitting into the mainstream. Mya actually took a break from the industry because she wanted to change her image. I was never a huge 'fan' of Mya but I still admire her insane talent. Not much of it left in the industry.
