I know that this video was posted a long time ago, but it was so informative and helped me, a person with no medical background, diagnose my 3 year old GSP with this disorder. I went to 3 vets and none of them had any clue what was wrong with my dog. I suggested doing the blood test to rule out this disorder and my vet just seemed annoyed …but agreed to send it off to the University of California San Diego (still the only place that can run the test). Positive. He is on pyridostigmine and is 95 % symptom free. I want to thank the person who did this presentation… maybe a vet school student… for doing such excellent research! It made a huge difference for my dog! Thank you!!

My 7 month old puppy was diagnosed Saturday. He started showing symptoms Thursday night, normal blood work on Friday at his vet, by Saturday he couldn't walk. Took him to a vet ER, they kept him, called couple hours later with the news. The onset is so fast, he was a normal playful pup Thursday, couldn't walk by Saturday

Our sweet 7 year old Springer, Cody, started limping a week ago and had a drooping mouth...and after two visits to two different Vets withing 5 days, he has gone down hill to being paralyzed and unable to eat and very distressed. He barely drinks and appears to have swallowing issues. We have to wait almost a week to get him into a specialist/neurologist that's out of state...and we are praying that he even makes it to the appointment. The original limping was misdiagnosed as a bacterial organism from a tick bite. After looking into MG, I am relatively sure this is his true diagnosis. My heart is heavy thinking we can lose this beautiful, smart and loving part of our family. Please pray for our Cody...that he hangs on until his appointment (this week)...and that they can treat and save our little boy. I cannot believe how quickly MG can take an active dog to one clinging to life.

😪🙏 have you tried pyridostigmine, metocloparide & cisporide. think my 7 month puppy has MG./ Dr. has him on these. & mild activity! Exercise & barking wears him out. Rest helps alot. Keep his food & water elevated. Watch out for aspiration pneumonia if it he keeps regurgitating- then he will need antibiotics & alot of rest. Hope yours gets to feeling better 🙏

Very educational video, would have been better if the voice was clearer. Thanks a lot anyway!
