Here in the Netherlands its not allowed to set the x-mas tree,before Sinterklaas has left the country.

In Germany we usually do not set real x-mas trees before December 23. We don't want needles in our homes. Christmas trees usually stay until after January 6 (Heilig drie Koningen).

@johanvantrier Over Sinterklaas gesproken ... was hij dit jaar weer op reis met de Zwarte Piet of moest Piet thuis blijven? Speaking of Sinterklaas ... was he traveling again with Zwarte Piet this year or did Piet have to stay at home?
