Don’t forget skoda vw cars are serviced once in year or 15k kms. Unlike Maruthi Suzuki which is once in a 6 months or 5k kms. I own a Kia Sonet 1.2 petrol 3rd year service 21.5k kms on odo. My bill was 10,800.

But VW-Skoda kills you with high Labour Charges over & above the Spares Cost. In Hindi *मुर्गी से ज्यादा मसाला-लेबर Charges* जो हमे मंजूर नहीं है. Agar आपका नसीब खराब है 20-25,000 kms on MT Clutch Plate Replacement costing, Turbo charger fail हो गया तो replacement charges ₹2 lac और Auto TC Gearbox replacement charges ₹2.5 - 3 Lacs. आपको ₹3-4 lacs Ready रखना है For Above replacements. Soch लो ठाकुर VW-Skoda Cars खरीदना आसान है मगर पालना एक सफेद हाथी से कम नहीं है. 😜😝🤣😂

I had a Skoda Fabia 1.4 PD Tdi, 2010 model. When I went for 60,000 km service to Gurudev Motors, Guindy, Chennai, I was given an estimate of Rs 1,01,500. Yes more than One LAKH. The service advisor very casually says Clutch Rs 48,000, Timing belt with water pump and idler Rs 28,000 , front Brake rotors and pads Rs 20,000, one ABS sensor Rs 6000, and AC belt, oil change etc will be additional with labour And he says anything else will be charged after opening up. Skoda never cared for the customer. Each employee there had a superior attitude as though we have come for collecting free rations. Never again Skoda

@thanigaivelk3766 If VW/Skoda leaves India, it will make an alternative arrangement for service before leaving India like in the case of Ford and others. But given the mess VW is in especially after Diesel gate (which is the reason why they are in financial mess today because that scandal costed them more than $20B) followed by EV madness (which is temporary) + tax gate in India (alleged) ... has cast doubts of its existence in India (at least to me) because we do not what more financial mess will unfold in near future given the geopolitical and geo-economic situation. While BMW, Merc, ... are also in mess, the situation for VW/Skoda is ore grave (at least I think). Best is to stick with Honda, Hyundai or Toyota (if one can afford an initial investment in Toyota).

That besides, India is not a great market for most MNCs as the per capital income is less than $4000/year when compared to other OECD countries which is more than $46,000/year. Ford did not even have problems with its parent company but still it left India due to profitability issue. So did Chevrolet. Not to mention of most manufacturers (Toyota, Honda, Hyundai,... etc. have not launched car models like they do in other countries. To top it, India's taxation on car ownership is too high. All in all India is not a great makret for most companies except FMCG manufacturers. This does not mean VW will leave India but as their situation worldover is not good (including in US), the likelyhood that they shut down in India is quite possible.

Wiper balde practically require change after alternate years, battery change will happen in 4 years, tyre change every 5 years or max 7 years + brake pad changes. These German brands are known for their Driving quality, Stability, Safety, Handling, Performance. its like a mini Audi at lower segment. so they are unbeatable at their all segments. 1.0l tsi engine is better than 1.5l engine(creta,seltos,grand vitara etc using). others brands are only providing some more features but compromising with safety and all and fooling us.

I have been using Kushaq 1.0 mt top variant driven around 63 k in 3 years 5 months now I had no issues with anything I took service package which costed me around 16 thousand during Diwali offer till now I didn’t paid anything on service

I've KTM RC 200 and after 5 years past from fixed oil change and filter change plus labour cost which goes approx 3k plus some part gets replaced.. it easily goes 7-9 k I prefer buying a car now 😅

VW/skoda service is costly is myth by maruti, hyundai & honda fanboys. 4+2 warranty, 3 year paint warranty (only manufacturer to give this in mass segment car), 4 + 2 service package. Impeccable driving dynamics, steering feedback & safety. VW/Skoda service is less than tata, mahindra, maruti. No nonsense car. I am owner of vento & taigun.

Some people who make comments have no clue about cars...whether it's the quality, price or anything else. This is expected to be a better car than venue, sonet and all the other rubbish that is sold here. The only thing that skoda has got wrong is the variant features and their prices. So if u don't know then don't speak. Someone made a comment that it's better to buy kushaq...are u stupid? You will basically pay 20% extra tax for a similar car 😂

But in Reality moment you are out of free maintenance packages they milk you royally & recover all those lost opportunity of 4 years. Inspite of 90% localisation on comparison their Spares are expensive & Labour Charges are 2 times expensive. Eg. Incase if you damage your headlight assembly & want to replace only one. It's not possible as the sell Headlight assembly in pair Only. So you either replace both or keep one with you. That's ideotic & rideculous. If you want to confirm my claim break one & take it to your nearest VW-Skoda Service Stn. & experience. 😜😝🤣😂 Till date they are German-Czechk by heart & soul. They are yet become Indian & experience owners problems & issues.
