How do you deciede what colors to lay down first, second, ect.?

You are amazing!!! I love the color combos you use. I just finished th Mandela pic in Rooms of Wonder & have your tutorials. In the Mandela you only used three colors. Do you have other pictures that you’ve done that you only use three colors? I love the effect of the 5 to 6 colors but it’s getting too hard for me to do this as I have arthritis in my arm, and it takes forever for me to finish when I use the 5 to 6 colors. Thank you for sharing with us all your tutorials you do incredible work!!!

Ooh it’s very rare for me to use only a few pencils. There should be another Johanna floral mandala. I can’t remember if it was from World of Flowers or Worlds of Wonder. It should be in my spotlight playlist as my how to colour flowers series 😁

I have watched a few of your videos, and there is something I have noticed about your coloring... You lay down the first color, then fade it out. When you come in with the second color, you blend the first color by pressing a little harder with the second color, then fade the second color out. Then you come in with the third color, blend the second color, and fade the third color out, and so forth. Am I understand this correctly? I really like this way of blending and coloring, and will have to give it a try. Just wanted to commend you on your coloring technique.

Prismas are so beautifully vibrant and pigmented so it’s easy to get beautiful intense colours. 🤗

Yeah if I’m layering I’ll use a light pressure but I will al ways burnish at the end with my lightest pencils 😁
