Interesting to see how you react to Mydin. Mydin originally located at Jalan Masjid India KL thats frequented mostly by Indian and Malays. Thats why you see more items are targetted at those markets. The price of products is cheaper in general compare to other supermarkets. They are also big on selling stuff in bulk @ wholesale price so its very appealing to those with big family.
@liyanachii58225 жыл бұрын
That mydin mall is really big. And when you go to big place, of course it will take some time. I understand :) hehe
@ridzz5 жыл бұрын
Actually u can go to the 3rd floor and buy things at wholesale prices. Sometimes people with big families will go and buy wholesale. I think this is why they have it open to everyone, not just businesses. But for me, sometimes the packaging is too big for me. So the normal floors are ok for me.

Have you been to Lulu Hypermart? They have quite a lot of middle eastern influences and you can find a good variety of nuts and dates and middle eastern items. And Indian items too. Quite fun to visit once a while. They have good cakes and pastries too and honey is good too. Prices for normal household items are quite good too. Might be worth a visit just for supermarket crawl 🤣

Wholesale isnt only for business but also for those who like to buy in bulk and bigger portion of everything they had there like you found 1kg of detergent at most but at wholesale level, you could get like 4 to 5kg packaging. Also like snack items, instead of individual item, they are packed like 5 or 10 of those in one big package and the broken down price for individual items are of course cheaper. This wholesale strategy is also applied at other big brands outlet for example Tesco is their normal branch, but they have wholesale items at their Tesco EXTRA branch.
