I've never tried it, but it should work. I'm sure it's just like building a home network where you transfer files through computers within the network and internet is not necessarily needed. It just needs to be on the same type of connection so it can comunicate with each other.

Thanks. This software is so much better than using mydmx2.0 on a laptop to run a show. I do not doubt that I could be missing something in mydmx2.0, but every time I try to customize it, it seems to not be able to do the thing I think would be natural feature to include. This software allows me to avoid that by creating sliders. Cool!

Haven't tried it, but it should work. I always use my iPhones hot spot to connect my iPad and Mac to the same network.

Hi great video I just order "mydmx" program and cant wait to start making my ligt show one question you said that need internet conection to conect the ipad to mydmx if I dont hae intenet conection can i conect the compute and the ipad trught a intrnet router that is not conected to the internet?? or must have internet to work?

Great Video. Question to all of you: if I want to use ER on a different iPad, do I have to setup the new iPad from scratch or can I transfer my ER saved file?

Hey Michael. I have no idea where the files are stored within the app on the iPad. I'm sure I can look into it and report back. Let me know if you have already found a way though.

Hi! Thanks for the video! I have the same problem as Martin Keogh had, I can't open a saved .xml files. I can only open the files I've done when I've been in the app and if i have closed the app and open the app again, i can't open the files. Please Help Me! Thanks!

How do you open a saved .xml file? I press the "file" icon. I then select one of the .xml files I have saved, which highlights it. I then press the icon down the bottom of the list, the file with the arrow pointing out and to the right. I take it this is the open file icon? Thanks.

I've connected my pc and my smartphone (Acer Liquid Jade) to the same network. I opened the app & MyDmx2.0 and i can't see that Easyremote detected my MyDMX2.0 software! Help please!

Thanks for the video, made my setup really quick. One problem I am having though- I have programmed a large number of scenes that are set to play one after the next until reaching the last scene which restarts the whole series. When MyDMX learns the easy remote command for the first scene of the series it only plays that scene and does not move on to the next as it does on my computer. Have you encountered this, or know a way to resolve it?

Hi Robert Poff, If you are using a Mac computer: 1. click your wifi signal icon located on the top right corner of your screen (a drop down menu should appear) 2. click "Create Network" (a new window called create a computer-to-computer network should appear) 3. create a name for your network or use the default network name and click "Create" 4. Your computer should automatically now be connected to the network you just created. On your iPad (or tablet) or iPhone 1. go to Settings > Wi-Fi > and connect to the network that you created on your mac. - the network you created on your mac should be in the "Choose A Network" section 2. Once your iPad is connected to the network, open the Easy Remote App and follow the MIDI mapping process as instructed in the video above. Disclaimer: Sometimes the connection between the two devices disconnects. I have had that problem a few times. I prefer using a MIDI pad controller instead of using a iPad to control MyDMX2.0 because there is no chance of any disconnection as it is connected via a hard USB cable. If you would like me to make a video demonstrating both the MIDI controller and Easy Remote methods just like this post and I will make it if their is enough likes on the post Regards, Harj.

Easy Remote loses its functionality/connection with MyDMX 2.0 after an hour of inactivity. One must then click on any tab on the MyDMX app to "wake" it up. Pretty annoying! Is there any fix to this?

does this only work with MAC. or does it work with PC too.
