He studied in the Philippines when he was younger. It would be super hard if u directly go to College to study English when u dont have the foundation for it. Usually Koreans study here in d Philippines for their English Foundation from nursery to highschool. I had Korean students whom I taught during elementary & highschool & also tutored and conversed with them in English too. That way when they go back to Korea, everything is much easier for them to speak in English, specially their grammars.

Rain’s pronunciation is amazing especially given he didn’t live abroad! Most Koreans have a hard time with curling their words but he’s impressive! So is Ok Taecyeon but he lived in the US. & he has no accent! I’m Korean American in California & he sounds more like an LA guy lol. And Moon Ga Yeon’s English has a German twinge 😄

Listening to Moon Ga Young speak such lovely German is so nice! Her English is pretty, too (she sounds like a German speaking English. :) ) As for others, Han Hyo Joo speaks Korean, Japanese, and English. She was in the US TV series Treadstone a few years ago. Kim Eui Sung actually speaks extremely good English as well.

When I moved to California I had a bad southern accent and the other kids were merciless,. Yeah I know that accent. It's the one you hear most in Cinema. Plus, he gave up any connection to the states and stayed true to his homeland. He's a K-cinema all rounder.
