Myenergi hub replacement / addition (Zappi Eddi & App)

Should you blur out the serial number and/or registration number? Might be safer if it could avoid anyone else being able to connect to it. Just a thought.

What’s the advantage of the new hub versus the old? Also, different subject, when added the solar CT to the hub did you have to configure the CT in the Zappi?

Cheers, I have to say, there development team and QA should get the road. Every time there's an update, I have to configure my eddi again, I have zappi, 2.1, virtual hub, and eddi V1. Some pain in the hole. Definitely doesn't feel like 2024 using these, more like 1985 :-)

I'm very disappointed with my LuxPower BMS and frequently feel it is out of control, as it exports electricity to the Grid whenever it wants to. Using a Grid CT clamp seems a very crude way of reading data and I'm surprised that MyEnergi does this too. I would have expected it to use Smart meter data to manage the system. Notwithstanding the above, I intend to get a Zappi in the future.

Pretty sure with the Eddi 2 and Zappi 2 you don’t need the hub anymore. Zappi acts as the virtual hub. Note: Grid CT needs to be wired to the Zappi not through the harvi, UK law only according to the manual.

Only the very new Zappis (possibly the Mk 3s?) have built in hubs. Does make sense to combine it all together, less hardware too.
