Assalamualaikum my brother, thank you for visiting our country and sharing good stories about us ❤ just some additional info regarding 'Kampong Air' (Water Village), when you ask people if they are from Kampong, actually you are referring it as a general village, while 'Kampong Air' is a compilation of different villages altogether, similar to states having streets A, B etc. So next time when you visit Kampong Air, you can ask specifically the name of their respective kampong (village), my father used to live there as well, the name of our village is 'Kampong Lorong Dalam' (deep passage village). Additional info, nowadays you wont find a lot of people living there anymore due to Brunei's modernization since independence, most people have migrated to live on land, mainly for security purposes. To answer your question, back then, the speciality of Kampong Air is the way community lives back then, whenever we have family events, weddings, neighbours would help out cook, prepare stuffs to celebrate events. Also back then we used to have water sport events like rowing, if you wanna watch one, come back in July - August, normally we have event called Regata (rowing competition) between villages to celebrate His Majesty the sultan's birthday. Once again, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for visiting and giving good feedbacks about your stay in Brunei, it was unfortunate that you came and i just found out your videos man. Please come back and hook me up so I can be your social tour guide. Thank you, may Allah bless you brother ❤

17:40 : For a bit translation the guy said this place is 'siuk' as in fun. And he also said that like the whole water village is like one big family for them, and sometimes they follow how the situation plays....something like that. Also most restaurants are near the water village on land and only a few markets/shops are found in the water village so it's quite hard to find one there.
