@Myer: thanks again for another lovely clip. PS: "berbere" = mild chili powder (similar to "paprika"). 2) "mitmita" = hot or very hot chili powder. That "Ethiopian delicacy - the raw beef/"qoort" - is eaten with a "mitmita" not a "berbere" - ideally. c) "dulet" = a type of "kitfo" but made mostly from sheep or goat offal or entrails, mixed with some minced beef or mutton. That was why your Ethiopian guide was a bit reluctant to recommend that for you as "dulet''s status is a bit lower than that of a "kitfo". d) There is "awaze" too which is a chili-powder mixed with some sauce & eaten with "qoort/qu_rt" or "siga-qoort" [mildly cooked minced raw beef in spiced Ethiopian ghee/butter]. DEFINTION: Now, are you glad you knew all that about "dulet"? [smile]. Nagaatti.

Myer let me tell you about the breakfast you eat "Dulet". It has two type The first type you eat is only done with ground beef. The second type is made with sheep meats and other edible organ parts of the sheep and it tastes even delicious. The second on is the proper dulet. May be you can ask Eskinder to take you to a place where they make the second one ( the proper one). You will thank me later. Cheers budy, have a enjoyable time and try to travel out side of Addis like harar or gurage zones.

My man, Nice to see you back. Send me an email , I'll introduce you to my mom if you are still in Addis. What you are eating Its not Kitfo. Its Dullet what you were eating is traditionally made from (internal organs of the sheep, Stomach...) , they made it well-done for you . Ethiopians usually eat it rare/ medium rare , but trust me when I say this if done right its amazing some would even argue its better than kitfo for breakfast.

Thanks Myer. Water is a problem in many parts of the world. Even here in South Africa, we boil tap water and let it cool down overnight for the purpose of drinking even though we don't hear much about there being a problem with our drinking water. Thanks for the advice. Be safe as always..(if you'd come across some beautiful chick who is willing, pass on the contact. I will take good care of her.Ha-ha).

You might have gotten food poisoning after eating in the streets in addis but that could have been a coincidence and it doesn't mean the whole of Addis's street food is gonna give u food poisining.... infact Addis's street food is as fresh as it gets and almost most of the time it is cooked right infront of your eyes whether be it veggies or non-veggies..... this is a well known fact so for you to say don't eat Addis's street food it'll give u food poisoning is pretty much a hasty and ignorant generalization. Don't get me wrong i'm not saying you shouldn't be careful but Addis is like any place else if not better when it comes to it's street foods so stop with the exaggeration.
