From my understanding, the criticism is that American media tends to treat Kpop artists as little babies or beginners in the music industry just because America hasn't heard of them. I'm not sure if this is what the OP meant, but IMO American media doesn't understand how large the fanbases are for some of the Kpop groups they interview, and they should show a little more respect. I think that's because of I.M's general speaking way. He generally speaks mumbling in Korean too but i agree Kihyun has a good accent and if he improves himself in speaking we would have one more translator in the group ^^
