If you want to keep the matte look, but also want to protect them, you can use matte nail polish top coat. Matte tape works, but it’s annoying if you have to trim it to size. I’m thinking of making this for my niece for Xmas since it isn’t something common, you can buy. Edit: you can use a strip of parchment paper to wrap around the jar when measuring for the lid. That way you don’t have to stress about accidentally gluing the paper to your jar. Edit: You can use some of that left over cotton to make “dollops” as if the lotion is squeezed out for your photos.

I save them, because I really, really don't want them in the land fills. But I need something to do with them. Thanks for your videos. I can't give them to my granddaughters, for their tiny treasures. My son doesn't want them to think it is ok to play with pill bottles. Which makes sense. A quick idea about the deodorant: if you don't flatten the paper tube and glue a round bead inside instead of hot glue, you can make a roll-on deodorant😊
