Bamboo is so strong it is being used to make a type of glulam composite to build skyscraper Guadua? I will order seeds. I want to grow it so I can build and test my energy tower before I patent it. It is modeled after Agora Tower in Taipei Taiwan 🇹🇼 This building uses its vertical height to harvest energy from vertical thermodynamic winds and horizontal winds using a vertical axis self dampening wind turbine. Birds are protected as the towers like castle towers have screened oversized windows to capture and intensify wind in the tunnel. It has water barrel on every floor. In the down pipes it has a an in pipe water turbine similar to those currently used in Portland Oregon. Then there are solar panels. There are no toilets which saves the city billions by eliminating need for black water sewers and human waste processing. There is so much excess electricity they use hybrid gas electric incinerator toilets. They have large extended growing platforms, that recycle water from the organic garden and fruit trees. Some of the electricity is run at 2volts through a salt water brine and produces hydrogen. Hydrogen is conferred to a combustible gas when remixed with oxygen, to run combustion engines, or condensed to run through a hydrogen fuel cell car. Question?: they say they soak fresh cut bamboo in borax water. This bleaches out the skin and kills all the bugs and makes the dried wood fire 🔥 resistant. For extra measure the shujiban or burn surface to add more fire resistance Have you tried these methods. I was thinking of making shingles like this. That broken and split bamboo you have, couldn’t you dry it due it and Scorch it to make roof tiles and floor tiles? Mr Hamilton cut me in for 10 percent if it works; I have some projects to fund. I believe housing is a human right and the only way to balance the economy. That’s why I love Agora Tower. It grows all food, provides all water and all energy in the building. Poverty just like hatred is a manmade fiction of greed. I need money to build more examples and prove it. That’s my dream 😴

Our ancestors in Jamaica used bamboo to make their houses and furniture. The houses were called wattle and daub. We grow up with bamboo kitchen and seat in the kitchen and Bamboo seat all around the yard So I am not surprised at all.The bamboo cut in large strips plaid together and flash with mud . However they were not preserved so they had to be fix ever so often.

Wonderful! Bamboo is strong and durable. The ancient Chinese used it to make bridges that lasted for years. It has numerous and countless purposes. Today, they use it to make sheets, clothes and so many other things. I commend Mr. Hamiliton for manifesting his vision, and also creating employment for Jamaicans. It's not easy to start and maintain a business; there are so many challenges, but I encourage him to continue persevering. And the pandemic hits small businesses very hard. Mr. Hamiliton, when you feel tired and burnt-out, just take a break, and go on a little vacation. Jamaica has so much food and natural resources all over the place, just going to waste. Last week, I went to the supermarket and bought several packages of dried mangoes and dried ginger candies in NY. Look how much fruits fall off the trees and go to waste in Jamaica....

On second thought, for history and posterity, Jamaicans have been using bamboo for various things for centuries. When I was a child, they used bamboo to make houses, fences, benches, rafts, and piggy-banks. Kids would cut the bamboo and bore a hole in it, and put their money in it for Christmas. Mr. Hamiliton says that he is the original bamboo man, but probable he meant that he is the first on the island to capitalize on bamboo in a big way.

Mitered Corners are when two edges meet at a 45 degree angle, creating a 90 degree corner. We had to make the beds as student nurses in Jamaica in the early 1980s. One could get a failing grade, if one did not know how to miter the corner of a bed🤣🤣🥰🥰🇯🇲🇨🇦

What a coincidence ad I am watching your vlog on bamboo, CNN has some one talking about and showing structures and different items made from bamboo, very interesting indeed. I remembered recently commenting on your vlog about bamboo and how the local people should get acquainted with its many usage by the Chinese and tap into the market themselves. Looks like bamboo is the way to go, because later it might be difficult to source material from trees,since the 1% money hoarders are set to claim everything and let the poor man whistle for his meal LOL. Sounds insane, but it's true.

Can the bamboo shoots in Jamaica be eaten Mr Hamilton, the Chinese use bamboo shoots in their culinary dishes.
@myislandjamaica2 жыл бұрын
Here's Mr. Hamilton response Gloria... "Jamaican shoots can be eaten but not great, they may have to be boiled twice , if you are living in the Bush yes eat them but if you want to start a shoot biz , no , look a better variety."
