Hello everyone! So in this video that you are about watch, I show myself have a Grand Mal seizure. Now before I had this seizure, I went 3 days without having a seizure. I had this seizure on Saturday, September 7th. We were just getting ready to leave to go to America. This seizure took me a long time to come back around after. I was so sick in my stomach and nauseous. And I was not fully aware. It took me a long time until I felt like my normal self again. Bless my mom for getting me through this seizure. I have no idea what I would do without her.🥇❤️

I agree and the gorgeous dog must also be a support emotionally as well. Thank you for letting us see this because by doing so you have shown people how a seizure can look because they are not all the same. I think that people imagine it as a more physical episode. I'm terminally ill and as part of that I have seizures where I bang my head repeatedly on the floor. You are amazing and you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Xx

The dog didn't do anything wtf? The woman was just pushing the dogs face in hers trying to force it to lick her, the dog got bored & left & the mother stuffed the camera in her face as soon as it started happening. Y'all must be blind this is such a dumb video like, what kind of epileptic makes a channel of them having seizures & puts it online for everyone to see.

@@MeowmeowAlexandra Playing with or petting an animal can increase levels of the stress-reducing hormone oxytocin and decrease production of the stress hormone cortisol. Reduced stress can also benefit physical health. That is why the lady was doing her best to keep the dog around to help her feel better while she's going through this. People go through these things all the time and can't help it, that's why recording it isn't such an invasive action to them. Some people would like to share these moments to educate people on symptoms or for other health education purposes.

But... she cried because she hurt her own rib while trying to comfort her daughter. Then said something along the lines of “why do I have to go through this”... slightly confused. 😕 Nonetheless, I really wish Ang didn’t have to experience these seizures. Update 1 year later: I realize I misheard her mother. Sounds like she is actually saying "Why do we have to go through this". Thanks to those of you who kindly brought this, and other elements of this situation, to my attention. 🙏🏽 Others were quite mean, even though I was clearly stating what I thought I heard and said I was confused. I don't regret my comment, because I think it is important to speak up when you are concerned for someone's well being. Especially, when you can't help personally or remotely. It's better to create awareness that to be discouraged and stay quiet. That's gone on for too long in this world, because people make other people too afraid to speak up. Thanks to Ang for sharing this. You will be in my thoughts forever. 🙏🏽❤️

For the people who are wondering why the mom didn't call for an ambulance, most seizures do not require medical attention. The only time they need to go to the hospital is when: 1 they get hurt at some point during the seizure or 2 it lasts too long. Otherwise it's just a waiting game. If you've never had to care for someone who has them, don't try and judge someone for how they handle it when you obviously don't know what you're talking about. It sucks watching someone you love go through that and the only thing you can do is be with them and make sure they don't get hurt.

He is 22 now, he takes medication. He has seuzures only when he is in stress, fortunately its been a couple of years since his last seizure.

Immediately after a seizure, the sufferer needs to sleep and it sounds like the mom knows that. So why all the repositioning, questions and comments about the need to answer Customs?! Let her rest!

@@ambergarcia690 if they have epilepsy, it's not anything new and is just part of the disorder. People with epilepsy can have seizures frequently and no need for 911. I would know because I grew up with my brother who has epilepsy. When someone randomly out of the blue goes into a seizure, that is when it's a more medical emergency. It's something serious that just caused the seizure vs. this lady who happens to have the disorder. It's nothing to take lightly but it's clear that they are familiar/knowledgeable about what they are going through. They don't need 911 otherwise she would have.

@@ambergarcia690 You're so rude. People that have seizures DON'T NEED to call 911 every time this happens. It's usually a part of life for those who are afflicted with a seizure disorder. As you can see, her mom isn't going bananas due to this happening.WE learn to live with this when this happens to our loved ones. Sure, it's scary. Some people are actually repulsed by others who have seizures. Whatever the case PLZ have compassion for people who live like this. Most people who are diagnosed with seizures aren't to blame for the medical issue. Sure, you can abuse alcohol and drugs and seize....Many people are born with some type of seizures. With proper medications, sometimes diet, and some people under go surgery to help with the debilitating types of seizures that can happen 100's of times per day. Others suffer from Absounce/Petit Mal seizures that look to the unsuspecting person as though someone has "lost" their train of thought. Imagine living with someone that has 275 PLUS Petit Mal seizures PER day?? My DH had 275 PLUS Petit Mal seizures per DAY that weren't medically controlled as a young boy, but at 23 yrs old he had his first Grand Mal seizure and after a few years his Grand Mal seizures were VERY difficult to control......His medications were closely monitored and CHANGED every 30-36 months because his body grew accustomed to the meds....in other words his body absorbed them as soon as he swallowed them at times. My DH died at just 48 yrs old due to an ER Dr's neglect (this doctor refused to do what I asked him to do as far as medications....and I was in the process of having him transferred from that ER to a local trauma center 40 miles away via Medical helicopter when he had another seizure and died. Lastly, its okay to not want to be around someone who seizes....but to be rude like your comment implies....that's wrong. You read the title of the video, so why even click on it? It's obvious that you've never seen a seizure, but just move on....don't comment like that. This happens every day in the world and those of us that have or have had family members with seizures learn how to deal with it, and it doesn't change the person afflicted NOR does it change the love we have for our loved ones either. It's a part of life. Maybe not something the patient signed up for as well as their families, but it's LIFE.

I have temporal lobe epilepsy (mind you, my seizures don't happen to be convulsions like this) The behavior she exhibits in the beginning is EXACTLY what I experienced when I was having seizures--nausea, deja vu, loss of memory/time, lip smacking, etc. These are called "auras" and while they are actually seizures in themselves, they are a typical sign that another seizure is about to happen. You can see that she prepares herself ahead of time in almost every video she's posted, which is truly a blessing. Some people don't have this ability and are thrown into seizures with no warning. I was diagnosed at 45, after I had a Grand Mal in the tattoo chair. Since then, the seizures have become more and more frequent and intense. I didn't realize how poorly the public is educated about seizures and what to do for the person, until it happened to me. I'm trying to change that, because if we can't be cured YET, we need to end the stigma, and educate. It has cost me my drivers license, more than likely my job, my peace of mind, and my confidence, but has gifted me with resolve and tenacity. Bless you and your family, especially your mama. @@akiabowens5395 I have had them for about 6 years and no the seizures themselves do not hurt you're unconscious the whole time and you don't really know whats going on around you and or what your doing. however you can hit yourself on things and get hurt and you can pull muscles from your body contorting in weird positions. It is also common for people to chew their tongue (I do when I have mine) I hope that explains it.

Akia Bowens Prevention from physical harm is the most important thing one can do. So in this case she was already sitting down in a comfortable car seat. Her mother even took the seat a bit lower which was good. If a person stands or walks when he or she is about to get a seazure its important to get them down to sit or better to lie down. The mother then hold her head when the seazures was at its strongest to prevent head injuries as her head could easily knock into objects around her and that way get injuried.

At least she knows when she is going to have a seizure. My daughter has many seizures and she has no pre warning , no aura , nothing. I have lived with her having gran mall seizures for many years , but she thrashed a lot also. She had fallen and cut herself badly, she has fallen and hurt her head. She has been to many doctors but they can't find why the seizures occur. She sometimes has many seizures also. One time it was 9 in one hour. My heart is literally in my throat when it happens. Sometimes she has to be put in a coma to stop the seizures and so she doesn't fry her brain. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. Mom , continue to be strong.

This brought me to tears. My son has epilepsy but has had only absence and mioclotic seizures. But he had 2 small real ones as a baby. So there's always a chance he could have a grand Mal and it absolutely terrifies me. I can't imagine seeing your child go through this. Yall are so strong. Sending love!

I used to date a guy that had epilepsy and he would have seizures almost every day. And I would literally count down the seconds until it would end. One of the most terrifying things to see. I pray for you baby. I’m so sorry you have to go through this.

@Graxxor Anandro Vidhelssen God didn't promise that we would no hardship at any point. As you can see, medicine and doctors haven't exactly helped her. Medicine doesn't know what to do. What you're saying is like saying God allowed an earthquake. It's part of the natural processes of Earth. After all, you're all about natural stuff, right?

@Graxxor Anandro Vidhelssen You obviously can't stop thinking about God which is why you made such a random comment. You know there is a God, as does everyone. I suggest you quit running and repent.

My 12 year old daughter had a grand mal seizure for the first time on Friday and it was intense like this one. She has slept off and on for most of the weekend. It was so frightening. Mama, you are a rock. Thank you for posting because I am now learning everything I can if there is another. We're 42 hours without a seizure.

As a mother of an 11 yr old who has seizures, the most frightening part is after, waiting for her to come back to herself, waiting, waiting, waiting. Im always afraid maybe someday she wont. Bless you and your mom! Way to handle the situation.

Carla Elz I always started to cry when my mom had them when I was five/six. I have to say that you are forced to stay calm. I had to learn it the hard way because I was so young. I would take a towel and wipe the saliva away (she was biting her tongue until it started to bleed) and I would hold her and kiss her but I never really got used to it I was always shaking a little bit. Now I’m 21 and she has pills now. She don’t has seizures anymore with the pills and I pray to god everyday that it stays like that.
