The reason for the bad taste is the method with which they roast it. Leaving it in a pile to burn gradually would trap some of the funds which would affect it's taste as well as the spoiling of the ones lower down in the pile which would also begin to spoil before it gets roasted. A little technological addition will go a long way. Lastly, the cooking method can also be mechanized which will greatly help those workers over come their health challenges

Yes the washing in clay is very unnecessary, this is also a contributor to the bad taste

​@@theinfohub8356 They don't just wash for watching sake, that's the method they use to separate the cracked nuts from the shells. In the clay water or solution, the nuts suspend on the surface for easy collection whiles the shell sinks to the buttom of the solution. So it's a necessary step in the process for them since they don't have any nut-shell separation machine.
