Easily the most durable, lightweight frames in existence. Proud owner of my Mykita Nigel’s for over 6 years and they’re as strong as when I bought them. Before I replaced my frames 1 or two times a year. The price I paid for my Mykita frames were worth every penny and have actually saved me money. They just need an occasional adjustment and new lenses every couple of years. I highly recommend these to anyone!

@@maxbeltranvalle1695 I've owned Wayfarers and Mykitas. Trust me, the Mykita frames (especially the hinges) will last far longer and put up with a lot more abuse than Wayfarers. The hinges are just so, so perfect-- they never go out of alignment, it's so satisfying. Strongly encourage you to just hold a pair to feel the difference.

My glasses broke after 9 months (even after caring for them like a precious child.) MYKITA customer service awful. Took 3 months to fix and I HAD TO PAY FOR POSTAGE even though they were still under waranty. My cheap generic reading glasses have lasted longer. Don't waste your money on this scientific technical nonsense.

Thank you Rafael. Also, when I bought my glasses (Mykita x Maison Margiela) the glasses were supposed to include both a hard and soft pouch, yet when I received them the soft case had been removed - snipped out of the box (for legal reasons as it was during the changeover from Maison Martin Margiela to Maison Margiela) I felt disappointed as the soft pouch was an option I would have liked, and expected to be included as in the description. I asked Mykita if they could include a soft pouch when they returned my fixed glasses......they did not. I have been a loyal Margiela customer for years, and invested in this product and feel very let down.

Well what can I say apart from the design concept of the hinge has not been clearly thought out in terms of the reliability. I think these frames are just a show piece and has not practical use what so ever!! Now the other arm broke clean off!! very frustrating as these cost me an arm and a leg!!!

I bought Mykita frame and the hinge broke in less than 12 months, it seems that the hinge design is stress during manufacturing process and therefore seems to have less reliability and strength. Very disappointing when one pays a lot of money. In my view not worth the money and has a design flaw!!
@dennis7293
@dennis7293 3 жыл бұрын
Your frame is still under warranty if it's been less than 12 months. It sounds like there's a manufacturing defect with your pair. The shop you bought them from should be able to take care of it for you. I've had my Mykia glasses with their "screw less hinge" for almost 6 years. I wear them every day.... even mountain bike and ski with them and they're still perfect.
