Always wear your seat belt Myles! Beep beep beep... 😄 You missed out on the crazy days of over the cab passengers or station wagons with kids sitting way in back, which seems even crazier. But you really should experience it at least once. Shhhhh! What I dont understand is how any driver can get in a car and not automatically put on their seat belt. Drives me crazy as you watch them hands-free driving, struggling to get it on later. Arg. Then they start looking all over to make sure they have their wallet. In the meantime the car is driving itself. 🙈 😳

Love that above-the-cab window though! Helps the claustrophobia! Oh gosh. I won't even tell you the ladder story...

The under the bed storage that is accessible from the outside. 😄 For the overthinkers or those with OCD... 😳 Or the kids could play a trick on unsuspecting guests. Little rascals! 😄

In the shower there is a place to the right of that turn knob that looks like a shower wand holder. Maybe to lower the wand there or maybe for another type of wand not attached 🤔 Maybe the knob changes the water pressure 🧐

"Best" is hardly an adjective to describe when borders on worst with the Sprinter 4500 chassis, as the Sprinter 3500 chassis better supports a RV lifestyle, while the 4500 better supports package delivery. In terms of RV lifestyle, don't plan on pulling a TOAD with the 4500 as all new cars and most used cars are too heavy exceeding the 3125lb tow capacity. Something totally missing in both Grand Design's and Thor's specs, but at least Grand Design includes a 3500lb class hitch to handle the 3125 limit, while Thor continues with the 5000lb class hitch, and worse Thor's marketing omits critical weight data in their specs. I hope other manufacturers see the light and don't transition to the 4500 chassis. The big hit on the 3500 is the low OCCC which the 4500 is marketed as improving. Strong words, now consider the math that supports the above and doesn't sugar coat anything. From the Mercedes factory the bare cutaway 170WB chassis to the manufacturer to begin the house build are roughly the same weight 4707 vs 4685lbs, or 22 lbs, so the house build ultimately determines what is left for the official OCCC posted on the yellow sticker. The 4500 does have stronger axels front/rear 4630/7934 vs 4410/7720 to support the higher weight inside the house build, but also results in a 10' wider curb to curb turning radius. Now the real data that most people consider GVWR is 12125lb for the 4500 vs 11030lb for the 3500 resulting in 1095lb advantage in OCCC. Thor retained is as they simply put the 4500 on the 3500 production line and have a lighter house build used on the 3500, now posting OCCC in the 2000lb range, but maintain lower quality. To Grand Design's credit they improved build quality, including what you can't see like the rail reinforcement framing but at the cost of weight squandering the OCCC advantage, brining it down to about 1100 lbs posted which is in the upper range of a 3500 chassis with slides buildout. NOW the killer! Both the 4500 and the 3500 have the same GCWR of 15250lbs, since it in not the suspension difference or chassis reinforcement, it must be engine/transmission/drivetrain that established the total weight capability. It is always the weakest point - like the clutch spring/throwout bearing "clutch slippage" was the limiting factor in my 55 Chevy - not the stronger components. There the towing capacity in the 4500 is 15250 minus 12125 = 3125 lbs, while the 3500 is 15250 minus 11030 = 4220 lbs. The 4500 clearly is not a suitable RV platform if you have, or plan to have, a TOAD. Even the Ford Transit built on the long wheelbase with the GCVR of 15000 lbs, by the same calculation has a 4000lb tow rating assuming nothing weaker in the system limits it.

and this is why I am looking at the Entegra Odyssey 24B. A little bigger, better floor plan, TONS of storage and towing capacity of 7500 pounds. Plus I can get it for $70K less than this one.

Missed this showing camper is beautiful, but a little expensive, it would be nice to have a door in front of the bedroom or a curtain, it’s too exposed for my taste, and at that price they missed the notes on this one.

Seems like any old RV they should check out European RV’s that are selling for 1/2 the price.

where is the table surface for meals?
@mylesrv2 ай бұрын
Outside at the picnic table, on your lap, in a camp chair, laying in bed, sitting on the floor, standing while holding your food, or a freestanding table of your own that you set up in the living area. There’s so many options.
@joecanis4842 ай бұрын
@@mylesrv At that price point, I do not think a buyer of this RV should need to improvise. Other RV manufacturers have systems that provide braces or supports for stow away eating surfaces. Major oversight in this floor plan. I do not believe that older RVers would be satisfied with sitting on the floor. This RV was presented as being a step above, but one critical feature is missing. Why not just admit it rather than coming up with lame excuses.

@ I get what you’re saying. A simple mount for a table in front of the recliners would make sense

If you noticed the two drink holders on the theatre seats,,,they serve a dual purpose the coach comes with 2 tables that insert into each of the drink holders and can be swiveled to your desired position.
