now this is the kind of content i love, its not a multimillionaire boasting about having another lambo or how he has the worlds first ______, its a guy working on cars he has an emotional attachment to that is many times their value, but has a reason to do it. he loves what he does and why he does it, and he isnt a know it all mechanic and that gives me hope that one day i can build my dream car knowing that another average guy can revive cars he loves.

You are blessed to have a vehicle that belonged to your Grandad. It is definitely a keeper !
@fdogg830973 жыл бұрын
Your grin while driving it home is why we work on our cars. It is not to impress others but the joy we get from the connection with vehicle. The family history just makes it that much more special. Keep up the great work and do not stress the content you share. We are just enjoying the ride as much as you are.

I really envy you. Having vehicles with a family connection is amazing! Nobody in my family was into cars, and I dont have any of the vehicles I grew up riding in. While you Dad and Grandpa are gone,they will always be riding shotgun in spirit. Keep up the the inspiring videos...keep learning...and keep pushing onward.

Grandp and dad.., there always there from when you started working on it to when you pulled out on to the road to when you pulled up to your house. That's why you made it home they wanted it there. I have 1 video of my 94 f150 on KZbin this time last year I'm ready to do my 1yr update. It was my wedding present 17yrs ago. Sentimental value. Memories. Good luck. Go Canes!!

So cool that it belonged to your grandfather and then your Dad and now you . Coop leave as is as fsr as the paint. I have a 93 lx 5.0 that's reef blue that needs paint but I think I'm just going to leave it as I'd or get it wrapped. Hopefully one day 1 of my grandkids will own it. Keep it going

I love how excited in getting this family truck on the road. Looks like your daddies eyes were bigger then he could eat. Lol. You made me smile. Keep moving forward on the mustang. You are a good man. These things could never be replaced. THIS is what you tube was made for. Idea, have a rebuilt weekend party. Invite all your family and friends to get it fixed. Good luck. Neal

I understand the joy you experienced driving your grandad's truck home. My grandad went to buy a brand new Ranger back in 2020, and when they offered him $300 for his 99, he threw me the keys and told me he'd rather it stayed in the family. This truck was his retirement gift from Ford, and they ended up giving him the last truck he took off the assembly line. I absolutely love that truck, and it has since had it's original 3.0 V6 removed and a 3.5l EcoBoost put in it's place. Thankfully he is still here with me to see me enjoy it, and give some, "disapproving" glares about the new engine. But the smile on his face ripping that ol' gal down the strip told me he loves it as much as I do, over 20 years later.

Enjoyed the drive home! The ole Ford is looking good. I’d leave the outside patina the way it is and just get her mechanically dependable. You are doing great and thanks for sharing this with us!

First and foremost, what an amazing and lucky thing to own, a truck your grandfather AND father owned! Let alone the truck you learned to drive in! Love this build. I'm looking for your previous videos now. Patina this, and enjoy learning on restoring it. There is so much history you will cover up. Paint it when you're ready to hand it down to yours. Thanks for the video.

I'd like to see a full restoration for this truck. A nice fresh paint job would be awesome! Everybody seems to do the whole "patina" thing, which is fine, but I'd like to see something different. I have a '99 Mustang that's going in for paint soon. Very excited!

also a universal joint 1/2” drive (think that’s the name idk) and an extension that fits on your impact gun is really great when taking those bed bolts off. i had to take my bed off twice and it wasn’t that hard with the u-joint, extension, impact gun and putting something a bit heavy on the top of the bolt to prevent it from popping up. but nice work! it’s really coming together
