In 2001, an airbus plane over Congo while about to land was noticed with defective half tires by an observer who made quick report about the retracted tires and the pilot was ordered to climb back. Now, after 30mins of collaboration, a decision was made to repair in sky. So, a refuel was done in air. Next a repair plane was sent up with technicians to approach the airbus on cruise and maintain same velocity with the airbus while technicians are to do repair work from underneath the airbus. This took hours, and finally, following success, 50 people were saved in the African countries. That's great aerospace technology

I love to hear the engines scream. On one flight my daughter said she hates the sound the engines make upon landing. I told her reverse thrust slows plane for landing. Now she's ok!
