Try out Zerek's Absolute Shrimp 3.5" , mate. What you needed to do is take a razor blade and cut on the stomach part of the lure and replace it with lighter size 1 or 2 weedless hook, preferably 3 gram or less.... just give it a lil bit of twitch every 2 seconds while the lure falling.

Mate it’s a tough game especially in the SEQ area once that water temp drops out. The lakes still produce and I tend to run smaller lures in winter. Livies can be another alternative to get it done when all goes quiet and more punishing than regular Jack fishing

@ninjamoves36423 жыл бұрын
Mate, quick question... are big creek Jack noted as 'residential' around a established snag? i.e. yes they may hunt 100 m either way when tidal flow permits, but will they return to a log and park up deep and in the cooler eddy on that snag? ..my 2 favourite spots are Coochin and Mooroochy creeks ..biggest going around 60 on both.... cheers, and love ya vids!

What’s your honest thoughts on the native raider mate? I got one because it felt lovely in the shop but I literally hate fishing with it. It’s pretty much been demoted to a creek trawler haha

Interesting to hear mate. I’ve loved the ones I’ve been running but I’m not 100% what make they are from now the Mass produced point has been brought up. I’ve got 3 Bass Raiders and happy as with how they perform. I’ll be checking em out next time I’m in the shops to see what’s different to those on the shelves now. I’ll be gutted if they’ve changed cause I’m a sucker for rods that I like. My other hardbody rods are 20years old now. Hahaaa.

Jacks are sneaky tards, hiding in the corners , preying next to water loops , structures and potential hiding spots. they aren't picky eater and will eat anything that can fit into their mouth, it's easy to catch them once you knew their behaviors.
