Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup kzbin.infoUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.

Mike_naugz88, unfortunately, in most cases silent videos will lose out to those with speech and music, imho :/ Although, I agree that non-stop commenting and musical background are overrated. Come to think of it, the author could write subtitles for a silent video, even a couple of versions, if required (it is possible; edit: sorry, the author can create only one set of CCs in any given language, for every other version you have to choose a different one), and people watching could chose, if they want to see author's comments or not by clicking CC. However, unless the channel has a big following (like this one does), doing that is a suicide, imho. Most people hate reading and aren't likely to get it. Nobody's doing it. I once entertained this idea and uploaded a short silent fishing video as a proof of concept (but without comments as CC), but it was not met positively even though solo fishing that I show is a quiet hobby by definition.

Ninja Dad , the small one is called a "gimlet" (in English) if you are trying to source them. They have a self feeding screw tip like an auger does and work sort of like a reamer in wood to make the hole rather than the way spiral drill bits cut from the tip. They make much nicer holes than drill bits do when turning by hand. You can find them in traditional woodworking stores such as Lee Valley tools in Canada and I'm sure many other suppliers.

Or just go down to the local Walmart and buy a $10 fishing rod and reel.

I wonder what gear ratio the reel is .
@Swedwoods6 жыл бұрын
way to slow. Im building another one in spring, I know how I will do it. This works fine though with a light lure that goes high in the water or with wobbler, angling etc

1:1
@adrianfirewalker41836 жыл бұрын
There are no gears, therefore no gear ratio is possible. 1 turn of the handle equals 1 turn of the reel.

1 to 1 I’m sure lol

1:1 there is only one gear technically

Zebco is a fishing equipment company from the US.

A fishing company gave a thumbs down on this! How fun is that lol! Its like the stove makers who think my ammo can stoves are inferior to theirs. Who in their right mind would think that I would claim this rod with reel made from branches in the wood is better than a carbon rod with Shimano reel? The point is it did worked and I caught fish on it. Sure beats the hobo reel alternative

@@Swedwoods i think it was a joke about the person who gave your video a thumbs down. That was absolutely amazing. I've never seen something so complex done like that. I will definitely sub to your chanel to see more 🖒
