I'm horrible at shooters... so let's fix that! I did a lot of research, some intense aim training routines in both Aimlabs and Valorant, got coaching, reviewed gameplay, grinded deathmatches... just to see how much I could possibly improve (and if I could climb out of Bronze). I was honestly amazed with the progress, hope you enjoy the video and the journey!

Short disclaimer that I'm not a pro yet at Valorant, there's definitely still things I can do to improve my routine. But for those wanting to mimic the training I did, here's what I did every day (after experimenting the first couple days and getting coached): -2 hours of Aimlabs -Between 30 minutes to 2 hours of Practice Range -2x Deathmatch with Sheriff, 2x with Guardian, couple more runs with random guns (like Phantom, Ghost, Marshal and Spectre) -Multiple Ranked games, when I had a bad game I jumped back into Deathmatch and rewatched the footage to find flaws -If I had time left, I went through every Aimlabs exercise 1 more time I know this is a really intense routine most people probably don't have time for while I could fully devote myself to it, but still hope it's useful to people looking to improve! My Aimlabs Playlist (can definitely still be optimized): Headhshot (Precision) / Spidershot (Speed) / Spidershot (Precision) / Motionshot (Speed) / Motionshot (Precision) / Microshot (Precision) / Gridshot (Ultimate) / Decisionshot (Ultimate) / FSA Reflexshot (Precision) / VCT NA - YAY / VCT EMEA - Scream / Gridshot 3x3 / VCT NA - TenZ / Icebox Wide Flick / VCT Leer Shot / Voltaic Intermediate Benchmarks S2

Great video and great content! It is amazing how good your aim has improved over in a period of 1 week and congrats on exceeding your goal in rank. I can see you reaching way higher ranks in no time as you have the correct mindset to do it from the start. You didn't do much mistakes apart of the ones you mentioned on your video although I think one huge part that will help you rank up is a good communication with your team (even on solo queue). There is so much that you can adapt to if both you and your team pass the right information + map pings that denies the enemy team from catching your off-guard. In terms of peeking an angle I would suggest you to incorporate in your games the mindset of what people call slicing the pie (clearing common angles slowly to isolate fights to 1v1 and deny trades from the enemy team). I have to admit that I am on the other end of your gameplay, I feel my game sense is decent enough although my aim is lacking and your video is an inspiration to improve on both ends. Keep the with the great content.

Been playing FPS games since 1999, some competitively. I think the thing that takes FPS beginners' aim to the next level is understanding that aiming is done nearly as much with your left hand as your right. Understanding the relationship between movement and aim is the key to getting better. IMO.
@HeadsUpTV
@HeadsUpTV 5 ай бұрын
And this is the key to becoming the best of the best. Most players today believe that aiming is done solely by the mouse. Over time, they come across players who can perfectly dodge their shots, while shooting them down precisely Understanding the sync between keyboard and mouse might take time. But when they do, it will feel like winning a lottery.

Seeing this video as a higher ranked player inspired me to get even better at the game, and the only thing i can say to this video is WOW. Amazing progress for 1 week, normally those videos are pretty boring but this was amazing, i do want to give you a few tips tho, not just about aim, i do recommend hopping into a custom game and practice your crosshair placement on the desired map, doing a clearing path (walk around the map clearing EVERY angle, so you get faster at it and learn the swiping aim, poorly used but pretty underrated!) and the other tip is a tip that will help you enjoy more besides ranking up, try to review your gameplay and review your util usage, you had almost every util available on most of your clips, so knowing how and when to use your exclusive utility can be as important as practising your aim. Keep it up, it was incredible!

Love the improvement! Currently I'm at dia 1 with so-so aim but that proves aim isn't everything despite it being a fps shooter. Game sense would carry you through the lower ranks but it's a lot harder to develop compared to your actual aim. Some tips i would give is watch pro players or tournaments, see how they play and even think about why they do it. Try taking up lurker roles or even controller agents to start off. The amount of micromanagement needed to be effective is very apparent for you to pull them off (Astra timing her util, harbor cutting angles so you can isolate more fights, and enemy rotations u take advantage off to know when and where to flank) Hope you video your improvement and make your way to immo : )

Im glad this worked out for you. Aim training is definitely a good way to improve. I just wanted to clear up a misconception though that aiming is not about muscle memory at all. Its more so hand eye coordination. The difference being that muscle memory would mean picking a new sensitivity would be like starting over, but it’s really not. All your skill you build up will be retained, as long as you’re not going from a high extremity to a low extremity.

Damn, I'm a gold player and I can say that I should go back to silver or even bronze. I'm a top performer in most of my competitive matches but I used odin more than vandal and phantom. I feel like Odin is the only way to negate my bad aim when competing with other players. But, that's not the case when I'm in a match with some platinum players that have good aim. After watching this video, I feel like. I can win over them with probability but that doesn't mean I'm improving, and in the higher rank I'm probably treated like dirt. This video opened my eyes and thank you for sharing your experience on how you're getting better at valorant. I will try to invest my time in getting better at aiming. Hope you reach gold soon.

Biggest thing I'd recommend to anyone getting into fps's is to lower your sensitivity. As a kid I ran a high sense and it worked for me. Now as a young adult I'm starting to feel the effects of constantly straining my tendons just to keep that high sense stable. If you like your sense higher I'd recommend getting a large mousepad, lowering your sense, and looking up rawaccel so you can still have big turns and flicks but don't have to strain your arm to do micro movements.

hey bro, i didnt watch the whole video YET, however, I do have a few things to point out. 1. your decision-making is really good with deciding when to burst/tap or spray, very often see people just spraying at 50m range and being surprised when they die, so you have a plus for that, you are good with deciding when to spray, or burst/tap (correctly you should spray on close and burst/tap on mid/far range) 2. theres difference between preaiming and crosshair placement. you got it a little mixed up in the video, but at the same time you didnt, because a lot of people dont point out the difference between these to resulting in one being mistaken for the other. Crosshair placement is when you peek with your crosshair being at head level, resulting in you only having to do horizontal movement with your crosshair for it to be on their head, because if you stare at the ground, you are forced to do horizontal and vertical movement to aim for their head. Preaiming is when you basically visualize what your enemys position is going to be, meaning that you will basically look through the wall at where their head is going to be and just peek, resulting in your crosshair being exactly at your opponents head, requiring you just to shoot to get the frag(frag=kill, for those who dont know) 3. for many people including you, movement is the problem, of course sometimes people dont have good aim too (it differs from person to person), but. People that come to valorant from games like cod, overwatch or fortnite, they often have one problem similar. they shoot and move at the same time, resulting in terrible accuracy, not hitting anything and most of the time dying. I suggest to everyone seeing this, when you go to settings, video and stats, go all the way down and turn on "Shooting error - Graph only", because the shooting graph shows you what your shooting error is (no shit sherlock), with orange showing you solely your gun shooting error, and blue showing you movement shooting error. everytime you die because you didnt hit your shots even though you were looking right at your opponents head, look at the graph and there you will often see what happened. gun shooting error is your guns recoil, movement shooting error is your movement affects your weapons accuracy. This about sums it up, these are the main mistakes ive noticed from this video only (not including positioning), so if you are interested | V I was a coach in games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, etc. and currently in valorant (because i play it) doing VOD reviews and live coaching, so if you are still eager to improve in valorant feel free to leave a response under my comment so we can discuss anything further, and just to be clear I offer this for free. Your improvement was huge but it could be even better :)

Valorant was my first fps. I had no notion of anything, I didn't know my sens was important, the crosshair, nothing. I didn't know I had to stop to shoot, I didn't know aim positioning. My friends came from CS so I was struggling to play with them. So I decided to spend hours in the range. I made a excel sheet to keep track of how many bots I was hitting with each gun, and I was going for hard mode with armor on, using sheriff, guardian and vandall. At first I'd hit like 4. At some point I was hitting 20. I went from iron to silver without even playing the game, just in The Range. I was getting match mvp in 9 out of 10 games with my friends, getting 30+ kills easily, I got 4 aces in a single game. Today I'm diamond 2, and I can do 22 on average, but my record was 27 with the vandall. I even got a 17 with the marshall. :)

Good stuff. The method I use is trial by fire (no aim training just play as normal) with a Guardian. Reason being is that the first shot inaccuracy of non snipers, sometimes the bullets won't go where your crosshair is no matter how well you aim so I dedicated myself to using the Guardian. I could use a Marshall or OP but I know that sometimes even I'm only human and that will be on me unless I get the second one off. This has gotten me out of Bronze to Ascendant. Plus the one taps are always satisfying.

Not a pro but had a friend who is a radiant, always tell me, if you want to train aim, only use Reyna in matches, once your train enough then start to use other agents and the reason is because Reyna can get heals on her own and because Reyna can get heals you get more kills and can use this to train muscle memory and also train not to panic in tough situation. He said aim lab is good but sometime is just too boring, you do increase good aim but you are not in tough situation. Even the best player sometime panic and cause aim to go off.

I just learn that and I want to share with you guys considering you clicked video you may want to learn more ab aiming so quick explanation: if you out focus center of your cross you more likely respond quick if anything happened where you are not aiming forward tho, its just because you are trynna see around corner of your monitor(or where the enemies far from your cross but you can still see them) with enough precise flick and maybe one little micro adjustment you can flick way faster. I'm using this when I'm hugging wall and peeking behind wall more likely I kill them first even they have peekers advantage it was happened dia 2 elo idk how ppl play in high ascendant or low immo but if you train this you can train your eye for more attention. if you search 'n0ted eye tracking excercise" on youtube any video with purple dots will work, all you have to do is track the balls while you looking at center ball. it is hurting so I reccomend doing this with [blue light glasses or Blue light filter]

Train the right way and consistently enough and you'll have immortal level aim within a month.

I just started playing and an in the same exact boat. I had to cut down my sensitivity by over half and now have to retrain how to aim. What aim labs scenarios did you end up using I’d love to start practicing with them

Insane improvement indeed but its normal to improve that hard when you have bad aim. I started b1 in valorant and peakd d3 ty to aimlabs and warm up routines. I can say for my own. aimlabs is not helping me. When i get overconfident or train too mutch i get lazyer faster, get faster tilted and stuff. I just startet this season to play every day even when i feel shitty i play swiftplay to dont lose my mouse feeling. You dont need aim training at higher ranks just a good warm up before ranking some dms, normals, swiftplays. Aimlabs cost too mutch time imo. I know many good players who start pure cold in ranks. But they are cs players tho. :D

You could do one week of intense coaching or game sense improvement or something like that. Would be amazing to see the improvements of that synergise with your aim in this video. Perhaps have a coach 2 times and rewatch you games and do movement and aim coordination drills.

Hi, i've been playing valorant for a month now. I wanna ask, as beginners what should we practice first? movement or aim?
