15:00, I think it is safe to say we can be sure the cleanse spot is Kabr's doing. As the Aegis card reads: "I have made a wound in the Vault. I have pierced it and let in the Light. Bathe in it, and be cleansed. Look to it, and understand" That spot is where he created a rift in the pocket dimension of the Vault. Or to put it another way, he was a Striker Titan, and he punched the Vault so hard, he actually broke a hole in it on a dimensional level. That wound in the vault allows the light from our world to flow through to the Vault. As you discussed in the lore stream, Guardians are paracausal, making them beyond the Vex's influence and abillity to change. Being marked for negation means the Vex have decided we are not allowed to exist here, but the light allows us to override that decision, and reject the Vex's laws that govern the Vault.

This seems like the quintessential Byf video. I can't really describe it... It's like the "X-factor" that makes Byf so deep is stretched across a half hour of uranium-dense lore. This video was amazing! I'd like to add this thought though. I believe that when we get our weapon buff during Atheon it is because all versions of ourselves from the infinite timelines are all converging slightly into our timeline, all of us shooting. Because we are paracausal we defied the vex in every single timeline we faced them in. So essentially when we're damaging Atheon "all versions" of ourselves are shooting him at the same time.

Great vid. I love the lore of the Vex and the Vault. There's something extra noble about Kabr's sacrifice to me. To risk death is heroic to be sure, but to risk being nothing, to be lost and forgotten to all you loved and all who loved you, to chance never having even existed, that takes galactic balls. Kabr himself refers to him being a 'wound' in the Vault, but I actually think the design of the Aegis is telling. It's an item of permanence, it's a touchstone, a thing not only that the Guardians can protect themselves with but also cling to. Something that is solid and immutable in the ever shifting sands of time within the Vault. I like that it physically represents an idea that allows 'normal' human minds to understand and navigate the system. No matter how the Vex change causality, the Aegis is there, and so are we, continuing the fight across all of eternity.

This finally makes sense now. Guardians broke into (effectively) a lab of the vex, while the vex try to defend their lab with their security guards, but failed, so they have to use their test subjects, which is more than a overkill TBH.

Destiny 2 is cabal and the expansions are osiris and rasputin, when are we gonna learn more about the vex? Their origins, whats beyond the vault of glass (i assume theres more, it seems odd the centre of their race and culture is on venus and not in the solar system they came from) and if theres higher ranked vex then atheon. I feel like the osiris expansion will be the vex history on mercury and not the whole vex history

Praedeth was a great dummy who didn't listen to myself or Kabr, we would get the ascendant mats chest together, obviously he ran ahead and he was trapped forever with the chest... Kabr and I pushed on, Kabr succumbed to the oracles when Atheon teleported us and I only escaped because I received something called an "errorcode baboon" and found myself in orbit, I then started playing the Trials of Osiris, where I ran into Dredgen-fucking-Yor and his groupies and he shot me twice in the head and ran away around a corner where he left me to burn to his dreaded Thorns Poision rounds, we lost and I stopped going into any Crucible matches or anything against guardians, I still fight the darkness every so often but the truth is the Vex eventually came for me and threw me into a time tear, I found myself on a battlefield with 40 ft robots and weapon fire from auto rifles from scout rifle ranges, they call this place Titanfall 2... Needless to say I like it better here... :)
